All hospitals have underground basements, and large one's may have 2-3 levels and they are often bustling with porters. They have stairs, 2 - 3 lifts, maintanence shafts/ tunnels, fire escape tunnels, wide corridors etc. Its a warren down there with morgues, radioactive waste storage, general machinery and bed storage, organ storage. In particular, hospitals in warmer climates cuz it's a lot cooler below ground level. Often due to this, the main servers are also kept down there to prevent them from getting too hot
