- People no longer learn languages because they need to. They do not want to consume language teaching content that only teaches them how to go to the supermarket, buy a dress, or make an appointment at a hospital. That is why I created a podcast series and this video is made out of an episode in that series.
In this Intermediate Turkish listening practice, I talked about the hijab ban in Turkey’s universities which I thought would be a very interesting topic for #Turkishlearners. It affected #Turkish society a lot and caused many difficulties for some people.
If I was born a few years earlier, I was going to be one of those victims of this ban. I remember thinking about it in high school and canceling my university plans. I was lucky that this rule was removed when I was still in high school.
That is why this topic means a lot to me and that is why I wanted to talk about it. I have neither political nor religion-related purposes for making this video. However, if it still disturbs you, you are free to go learn how to do grocery shopping in Turkish.

Very proud that this unfair law has been abolished.
Müzik haram
Harika çabanız için teşekkür ederiz
Bunu paylaştığın için teşekkür ederim. Böyle olaylar hiç yaşlanmamalı, sırf Allah'a inanıp dinlerini uyguladığı için insan böyle davranılmamalı. O güçlü kadınlara helâl olsun maşallah.

to ripen the conditions for politics
çok üzgün oldum 💔
🥰
Must have English translation
I have hard time understanding when people add miş muş like yapmış görmüş
Gülmüş i understand yaptım gördüm güldüm ıts very confusing
I will make a video on them! for now just consider them as past tense :)
You can clear this confusion by watching the video related to this uploaded by "FC LangMedia".. It is a CZcams channel and in their playlist of Turkish Grammar, you'll find the video..
I m not telling the meaning directly as I will not be able to explain it that well.. It is clear in that video.. Best of luck ✨💖
Senin sesini çok bağendim
but why this topic??
Come on Nur, without başörtüsü you will look far more beautiful than you already are.
Who thought that the powerful Ottoman age will disappear, and turk ppl will forget their history easily like that.
May allah guide us all
I thought Turkish people were atheist
unfortunately the new generation is full of disbelievers, may allah guide them. but still the majority of Türkiye is muslim
People are here for learning Turkish, not learning Turkey's past political issues. Especially noone wants to listen a one sided explanation of a highly sensitive topic. Folks, this is not a good place for learning Turkish, go watch other channels.
Actually it was quite a helpful video in learning Turkish 😁
It seems one sided, actually.
I've heard other voices.
Is it possible to go to the university without the scarf, for example?
@@gigimuller4838 You can go to university wearing anything you want in Turkey.
We can learn another language better when we learn the fundamental thoughts and opinions of other people who speak the language.
One side explanation? The situation seems pretty clear...
