- Hey, we are going to 1985, the pinnacle of the Big '80s! The perfect time to be a kid. The cereal was good, toys were great, tv was awesome before cable slowly crept in. The golden age of sitcoms, music videos, and most of all we had no worries.
CBS Storybreak
Dungeons & Dragons
Land of the Lost
Part 3 coming soon
The Charlie Brown and Snoopy Show
The Get Along Gang
Pole Position

No idea how I forgot about CBS Storybreak. CBS was the only network we reliably got when I was a kid.
Cuz the ABC one is the one I think people remember more cuz of captain o.g. readmore lol
One of the best episodes of Story Break.
yup
Thank you for uploading this and the other gems! Along with the commercials, it's like being sent back in time!
Glad you enjoy it!
Whoa!!!! So this is what kids used to watch back then
yes
@@MoneMedia interesting
From every Saturday here on out I now can enjoy Saturday morning cartoons again and even better hand the traditions down to my kids and grandkids. Going to buy some footloops and cast this to the 65' tv lol thanks so much suggested can you do this with the classic holiday tv specials from halloween thru christmas that would be epic but either way tysm for posting these.
Couldn't agree more!
So many great memories of all these shows and commercials! :)
Indeed!
Thank you from Germany for this journey back to my childhood. Just love the old toons like ghostbusters turtles and so on.Thanks for uploading this. Greets.
thanks 4 viewing
I really appreciate these uploads, I like to show them to my kids. I was a child of the 80's. They just don't believe me when I tell them about fun before wifi and the streaming wars. Thank you for not having adds. They really wreck the vibe 😉
your welcome
Yall don't understand how bad channel 2 CBS worked in Nyc , i had to tape the antenna to the window metal guard for it to show with no fuzz. ITs nothing like 80's morning cartoons . The land of the lost is a classic ..Thanks mone for the post !
Truth. Back then, NY area broadcasts were in this order of signal strength:
ABC 7
WPIX 11
NBC 4
CBS 2
WNYW 5
The bottom two would sometimes trade places. PBS on 13 was hit or miss. I lived in NJ, so WWOR 9 came in pretty clear on the regular.
@@Yo_DynamoJoe We survived as kids with 6 channels , and today i have hundreds of channels and dont even watch tv in 4k
That's because, at the time, WCBS 2 had broadcast their signals from the Empire State Building's antenna, which was antiquated at the time, while the other NY metro TV stations used the old World Trade Center's antenna.
Thank you so much for posting this! This Story Break was one of my favorites and I thought I would never see it again. I really appreciate this :)
your welcome
Story Break was the bomb.
I just realized that Storybreak was hosted by Captain Kangaroo.
He was a little too excited for the good ol' days of slavery lmao
@@DJRitty Yeah, he was.
I remember Dragons Blood, I watched it on CZcams a few years ago just to make sure i wasn't dreaming that as a kid, I couldn't remember the name, I was looking up Bloods Heart
Its cool to see what I was watching when I was 4 years old lol
I was 14! 😄
Land of the Lost (1974-1976) is perfect, rebroadcast in reruns on CBS Saturday mornings. PERFECT 🤩
2 cartoons & 1 live action adventure are featured in this video as originally aired on CBS “Kids Just Want To Have Fun” Saturdays is:
CBS Entertainment Studios-Hanna-Barbera Productions/Southern Star Animation Australia’s “CBS Storybreak” episode with live action hosting bookends hosted by Captain Kangaroo:
“Dragon’s 🐉 🩸 Blood”
Based on characters from the book created by Jamie Yolen @ 1:15,
Marvel Productions Ltd./Hasbro Studios/Wizards of The Coast entertainment’s
Dungeons and Dragons 🐉
In:
“The Lost 👦 👧 Children” @31:57,
& finally, the only fully live action episode on this video:
“The original classic Adventures In
Sid & Marty Krofft’s Land of The Lost” episode entitled:
“Cha-ka” @ 1:00:48
If you liked Dragon's Blood, than you might also enjoy...
"Jane and the Dragon" by Martin Baynton
"The Reluctant Dragon" by Kenneth Grahame
and "Eragon" by Christopher Paolini
And with D&D following that episode of Storybreak, is probably what gave me the idea that those shows were connected. Eh, but I was only 5 years old at the time they aired.
🥳 YESSS!!! Im grabbing a bowl of cereal for this! 😋
😋
For most of us (myself included) commercials were among the best reasons to enjoy Saturday morning cartoons
correct
I used to tape the commercials actually. Everytime a new ghostbusters ad aired especially. I dunno I would imagine playing with those toys - I couldn't wait to get out later that day hoping we;d be going to a toy stor elol
I'm definitely ready to watch this one & future ones. Thanks again my man
Hope you enjoy it!
BONKERS! I completely forgot that commercial until right now.
good candy
I could really go for a watermelon or strawberry flavored one right now. 🤤
luv it greatly !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
God how I miss the snacks advertised in this -_-
Chips Ahoy and Pop Tarts was MUCH better then
yes, every product is watered down now for profit, in the 80s we had so many delicious snacks.
💯% agree!
yup - nothing tastes the same...
@@MoneMedia I am doing time stamps again.
These are memories that are never coming back😂
The soundtrack to Dragon’s blood story is so 80’s
synthesizers
The 80s was a golden age for cartoons on ABC, CBS and NBC.
Dungeons and Dragons was such a great cartoon. Someone should make a direct to video movie where they finish the story (yeah, I'm aware there is a fan-made episode).
Im going to try and do the last episode using the cartoon footage. Wish me luck
The Illuminati puts hints in everything they touch. Notice the three sixes on the side of the ship. This was one of my favorite shows from the 80s.
Love all these!! Thanks for all the uploads
Wasn't that Honeycomb commercial famous for being the storyboards the ad company brought into their pitch, and they were such a hit they simply added transitions instead of filming the scenes in live action?
yes
Awesome!!!
This took me back to when I was 9 going on 10...I'm amazed at how they programmed us way back then...now it all makes sense!
Yup, marketing products, that made us want that stuff. Heaven
@Thy Staff true
I wonder if Toucan Sam has a Crush on Madam Gypsy?😍❤️📺🎶
lol
Thank you

Thanks for not making us watch ads! I seriously had to stop watching some of the others because it was getting so annoying.
Yes Becky depending who owns the cartoons and copyright issues leads to them damn ads
@@MoneMedia See - I can handle an ad every 10 mins, but there are MANY that have ads LITERALLY EVERY MINUTE! EVERY 60 SECONDS! That's just SICK! ESPECIALLY when the target audience are (or "is"?) CHILDREN!
Anyway - thanks again! :)
@@giraffebecky if you give me email i can send it in full.. and you can watch it without ads
@@MoneMedia Oh! I'm sorry! I wasn't complaining about YOUR video! Haha! I was talking about some others I'd seen. Yours didn't have ANY ads! And I thank you for that!
i thought the milk it does a body good ads were on abc...
yes they are. I ran out of commercials
what are the illustrations/posters you use in the beginning of these? From comic books?
yes sir
@@MoneMedia it's a really cool touch. thanks for putting these together
