In my mind, just about everything that looks super hard has some kind of a trick behind it if you can just understand the concept. Just about anything feels fairly comfortable if the player is playing a line smoothly 🤘😻
@@massive_bass_nerd I agree wholeheartedly but not everyone has the gift of reverse-engineering a thing to the point of making it explainable; some people have no-clue why they’re good at something, and usually that’s “natural-talent”. While I’ve been accused of being naturally talented, I was bullied a lot but wasn’t one to cry, I’d go home and break it down then teach it to others!! CHEERS!! 🥃🫵

Absolutely! Obviously there’s a lot more to his playing (especially with more recent RHCP material), but overall it’s a really common Flea pattern that absolutely rocks 🤘😻
The one I could never wrap my head around as a young bass player was You Can Call Me Al bc flips that $hit around - and when I say “as a young bass player” I mean I was taking lessons at the local music store when the song was released- had there been CZcams back then - things would have been easier - I don’t even think my teacher figured it out.
there's no muted thumb? it's only a slap then pluck? if that so, I love it! it's easy for me 😆 I'm just beginner, it's difficult to have a muted slap but I want learn it also, Am I right is it only a thumb, thumb, pluck, thumb, pluck, thumb? no muted thumb?
Very nice. I play guitar- want to try base. Do you or anyone recommend 4 or 5 string? The 5 string at GC seems to have a nicer, deeper tone that I attribute to epic base but I heard 4 gets you access to more playable, common notes/patterns.
You'd probably be fine with either, but I always recommend starting with 4. You can always get a 5-string later. I ended up getting the 5-string version of my 4-string. Still play both.
Now add muted slaps in between at break neck speeds
Very true 🤘😹
I love learning new slap patterns. You don't even need a bass for practicing, I just used my leg to learn it while sitting in university 😂
True bassists play on legs, mad respect for you, sir
Lol same sometimes I use my desk in class
SAME
Lots of people can play but deconstructing a pattern in music, or deconstruction of any skill for that matter, to me is magic!! 😮😮😮😮😮😮😮

Practice Practice Practice!
Another Practice must, is a Metronome or Click-Track or a Drummer with Good Tempo. This great for every musician.
That bass sounds great
Bass is one of my favorite instruments.
That bass line is hard
That’s more of a beginner bass line tbh
SLAP THAT BASS

brian bromberg or alain caron ,john patitucci. thats slap.
I agree that those dudes are super dope :)
Slap and pop the same string, and do a T---T-P-T---T---T-P-T.. rhythm. Add bends and you have my favorite way to play Bleed.
Under the bridge downtown
Thanks for sharing
Cool 😎
Checkmate
Brilliant

OK....a little help with what he said when he said......If you learn that you can play almost any "What" kinda bassline?
Any kind of “Flea” bassline! He’s the bassist of Red Hot Chili Peppers 🤘😻
Flea

Follow through with the slap. Don’t bounce off the string.
Personal preference.
Slap bass... if you get good at it you could theoretically make SEVERAL dollars a year.

Learn this from the slap guy davie
Parece muito o baixo da música o otario e o esperto da banda Bula rock
Dijo: que es el??
You are going to put rappers out of work, unemployment will be on the rise with those cool skills.😂😂😂😂
Flea yaasss
My hero 🤘😻
@Davie504
Isn't a very good musician
@@TT-jy2db he is
slap that bass
No se escucha
Бас не слышно🎉
To me that’s why flea isn’t a great bassist, if learning one motion can recreate almost any of his bass lines, that says a lot!
If you can take a simple pattern and make a ton of fantastic songs out of it then you're anything but bad
czcams.com/video/Qgr8dESqars/video.html
he took from here
Davie504 will be proud
