- Welcome back for Day FOUR of the 12 Days of RJ's Trains! Today we are taking a look at the amazing train set that is Lionel's latest least of Amtrak's Acela! As many of you know, I am a HUGE Amtrak fan and I have had this set in my collections for quite some time now. It is finally time for a dedicated video to show off how amazing it is!

Wow! That is an awesome set! Thanks for sharing
Lionel did a fine job in creating this model of the Acela. Thanks RJ for running it for us.
the new layout with wide radius was made for this. it all looks great!
Very cool Amtrak Acela
RJ your camera and audio has EVOLVED HUGE ! GREAT JOB BRO, so happy to see this ,
Thanks again for another great video, RJ. Acela is certainly a mighty train with its speed and futuristic design. A beautiful sight to see.
To actually own the train including the same cab number as you rode on is amazing. Really nice model RJ. It is a gem and I know your having alot of fun running it. Great model! Congratulations.
Great video, RJ!
Impressive....handles the curves nicely. Looks like the real deal to me....speed and sound. If you're ever in Maine...try the Downeaster. Thanks RJ
I am THIS close to caving and getting one of these… plus, I work on the real one for a career! 😂 I’m so tempted.. Lionel did a phenomenal job!
Great video RJ! :)
Merry Christmas ⛄🎄
Thanks!!!
Sweet video! Just saw the 2024 two weeks ago in New Haven. I like that the two power cars have different engineers!
Acela is dope
A VERY impressive set RJ! A bit too "avant garde" for my taste but impressive just the same!
Long story short I'll admit I gave into the "How fast will it go?" curiousity with an MTH 4-4-0 "General" on a temporary dining room table layout. The thing flew off the table and into a chair! I'm lucky it didn't end up in one of the china cabinets, I'd have been dead! That was the end of my "How fast?" experiments!
Fun video RJ, looking forward to the net in the series!
I remember when you got that train. You were saying you couldn’t run it on your current layout. I figured this might have been the train that made you reconfigure the layout?
I remember when you received these beauties and opened the boxes .. Man they are beautiful .. Have you ridden on Acela?
COULD ADD LIKE LITTLE OIL DRIPPING FROM THE TRAIN LIKE IN REAL LIFE
RJ crazy question, were special train cars used back in the day for Sports Teams on east coast? I was thinking about that and there has to be 1 pro team from back in the day that might have dressed up a train car for the Team.
(Tom here.)
R.J. , were you ever apprehensive to run that train that fast? I would have been a little. What if it had jumped the track on one of its circles around the layout? I guess you know waaaay more about the workings of those trains than l do, so l'll shut up and let you do the talking and the showing of these great trains, sir!!!!! Sorry!!!! Great train set and another great video, too!!!! Take care, sir.
I wish i got it definitely regret it now.
