This is the best comercial I have seen for any video game. How this has less views than the newer one is beyond me. RIP Brad(the actor who played Leon)

fully agree. at least would have done a way better adaption than anderson. even thought the first movie isnt terrible but certainly not good. but still watchable than the rest of them. one thing i did like in the fourth movie is the beginning and the music. that was pretty creative.

Well i liked the second one. It was the one with the best adaption of the games. And Sienna Guillroys performance as Jill was awesome. Too bad "Alice" was more important to the script.
granted, it had nemesis, carlos and jill but thats were the movie pretty much ended for me. it was a more an action packed version of RE3 (game) with more characters. also jill behaved way too cocky that it appeared more like a woman dressed up as jill.
You are kinda right but i liked her performance. In one scene she even tries to imitate the caution or danger health status from the games. And that shows that she was one of the less who put effort in her role.
This is 10000 times better than the live action movies.

This has such a resident evil feel to it. It's pretty amazing.
It truly does get every part right. It shows us that the game is about making the most out of scarce resources (0:08), running away from zombies (0:10), finding the resources you need to survive (0:14), and kicking ass when the time comes to unload (0:24). It's the sort of things that should have been in the actual Resident Evil screen adaptations.
Lol what? No duh it has a “resident evil feel” to it, it’s a commercial promoting the game so obviously the “feeling” is going to be exactly the same. As that’s the whole point of commercials and trailers, to promote and give off the atmosphere, aesthetics, and visuals of the final product it’s promoting, that should be VERY obvious here. The commercial is VERY amazingly cool and very stylish and something that everyone loves but your comment is narrow viewed as no duh it has a “resident evil feel” as it’s a resident evil commercial FOR a what the game is going to be like for everyone who wants to buy it.
That should be extremely obvious here.

See, even though Leon isn't what we have now, that still works. Claire looks like Claire, Leon looks like a rookie, there's tangible drama... This right here, THIS is how you live action. It ain't perfect, but it feels good.
The Leon we have now looks like Botox surgery gone wrong like Simon Cowell. Claire actually looks cute in this. The actors here look much better than what we got in those game remakes.
@@Disconnect350 Oh, in the remakes, I won't argue that. I actually grew up with PS1 RE2 Leon/Claire and PS2 RE4 and RE:CV Leon/Claire respectively. I'm not gonna argue about the new ones, when I said "the Leon what we have now" I was mostly commenting on the hairstyle and the fact the fictional Leon looks older than the ad.
But the remakes? Yeah, total agreement, they look off in a way I just can't properly describe.

I remember seeing a brief "making of" video on here that interviewed the actress, Adrienne Frantz. She had an unexpectedly high-pitched, Jennifer Tilly-like voice that, if anything, just made her seem even cuter.

This short commercial was more accurate than anything put out cinematically ever regarding the series.
You can really just say "live-action" and be done with it, because as bad as the non-CG movies are, that Netflix show was awful enough to undo Jesus' resurrection.

Came here after watching the 2019 live action trailer.
Damn this is the best Claire has ever looked
This little ad captures the old game's style, the sounds and overall atmosphere. Even if it's cheesy it could've been a beloved live action, along with the first Mortal Kombat, the first Silent Hill and a few others.
STILL my favorite game of all time and the first one I ever bought.
RE2 was the darkest and best game of the RE series. After that RE4 was dope too.

That was a cute trailer. But at the end when Leon and Claire was pointing their guns toward the camera, it looked like there was a pack of zombies standing within arms length behind them. lol
Ami Mizuno Its cool, they can get bit a few times and push them away....also....if been wondering, so herbs suppress the virus? Maybe that's why Umbrella started in Raccoon city in the first placr, so they'd have SOME defense. I mean I'm assuming Leon or Claire never canonically got bit, but I think for Re7 Ethan DOES get grabbed bit and hit at least a few times because of the virus. Anyway you think that there's an actual infection that kills you, or does it just possibly make you sick (Leon and Claire could have stronger immune systems I suppose) Chief Irons turned in front of us, but he was GRAVELY injured when we come across him. I mean in 3 Nemesis grabs Jill and stabs her with his tentacle (wink wink) and she gets an antidote, it could have been anti bodies or maybe something like those pills in Biohazard.

Andy b Claire was never GIVEN a shotgun, but to be fair she didn't find it off Kendo, Leon gave her his. (I'd say the Claire's scenario isn't real cause why the hell would Kendo be using a bow gun instead of a shotgun? Maybe he thought it was a B.O.W gun, maybe he selflessly gave it to Leon....I don't know. None of the playthroughs in the first game were entirely canon, they were just combined with the others into some weird amalgamate sludge.
Nicklaus Kindelberger Capcom says Claire A is canon, where Kendo uses a bow. Why did they put Kendo with a bow gun? Probably for replay value.

It’s like him getting to work on another movie (imagine a George Romero Resident Evil movie …) it’s soooooo cool. YOU CAN EVEN SEE HIS DIRECTING STYLE in this ad clearly!!! With all the closeups and use of shadows! Very reminiscent of Night of the Living Dead !!
also his camerawork and use of angles it’s just classic Romero!!
Then the retards gave the rights to WS Anderson to make the shitty movies we know today and steer RE towards crappy action instead of horror. Ironically Romero's movies were one of the main inspirations to Resident Evil besides the japanese game Sweet Home.

He had the opportunity, he even wrote a screenplay with Peter Grunwald (by the way it's excellent) but they rejected it for stupid reasons. its script kept the essence of the first game and its cinematographic signature. The enemies, the characters (all with small changes) but it was still Resident Evil, that script is literally by far much better than all Anderson's films (what a mess, leaving aside that they are from Resident Evil ... what a bad screenwriter it can be to contradict so many times your own work, ridiculous) you can find the Script online, it is not wasted! I used the Google translator, sorry if there are any flaws in my writing, greetings!
Maybe in an alternate universe the George Romero adaptation of Resident Evil was made instead of the Paul W.S. Anderson version of movies we have now.

I love that RE still lives on as the 80s Stallone action movie style of horror series, even having analog tape recording sequences in RE7, I love the tank control games the most.
