Vložit
- čas přidán 8. 06. 2024
- All CGI cutscenes from the game, taken from the 2006 Sourcenext/Capcom DVD re-release of the game that had highest ever release quality of them with no letterboxing.
Upscaled to 4k to keep the bitrate closer to the original quality. Original resolution is 640x480 (4:3 aspect ratio, which limited the amount of HD resolutions available for making this high bitrate on YT).
You might notice, that some of the cutscenes differ only in few frames, but are still rendered as separate files. Scenario B credits feature FMV's playing the the background, which is unique to this and Gamecube versions of the game. Subtitles are baked into the video files.

this port has sharp pictures !
guitar explodes? dude you realize you can just put epic guitar right?
If you really think I'm gonna spend 40:40 of my life just to watch the CGI Cutscenes of Resident Evil 2 you bet your ass I am
Me too.
Bio 2 was part of my childhood. Precious for my life.
A lot of memories brings on!
Lol, I told myself I’d skip over most of it. Nope, watched every second. I regret nothing.
You can play the CGI graphics on the PS1 system
4:27 I like how the zombie just gracefully flies out the back window
Windshield *
@@thecoolcario9048 That's actually a really cool detail, they went through the effort to have the police car flip around for the Clair A scenario, so depending on which character got which scenario it can be either (for the Leon scenario it is the windshield).
“Let me take care of that bullet would”
Um lady he has like 20 bullet holes lol
Shoot the dude: STOP! you might HIT THE SAMPLE. Capcom show us brilliantly what Umbrella is.
It’s formulated bio weapons that’s worth a lot of money and they shot the creator... yeah they don’t want to hit the samples lol
Well what kind of U.S.S guys fire their smgs from the hip?
@@elijahmaximuslaxamana674 its been like that in 60s til 2000 era when they realize how useless it was
Leon: What’s up with that guy? That was a clean hit.
Me: You seen the new one?
R.I.P. Paul Haddad. :(
Aw man don't remind me :'(
We’ve come a long way with CGI and Video games, such a classic to look back on how much we achieved
I can change the graphics on my PS1 system Soo it can look realistic like the CGI graphics
@@bobbywilliams-clay3683 nice joke
The thing that always bothered me was Leon and Claire arrived to a part of the city that looked like it was untouched by the chaos, turn the gameplay begins and everything is in ruins
I kinda wish Capcom did a Resident Evil collection that included the PlayStation trilogy in it's original glory. It would've been cool to see if they put in a Movie Select that allows us to view all the CG Cutscenes.
Shame it isnt on the new Playstation Plus
You can get them on PS3/Vita Store.
The difference resident evil 2 original and remake is original no bad words and the remake full of dirty words that's all i know LOL 😂
Zombie: a
Leon: *SON OF A BITCH*
WHAT THE ?
The original had a more clam feel, while the Remake was WAY WAY too mondernized.
anjir
@@WindiChilliwack honestly at first I thought they were going to do the same kind of remake they did for the first game on the gamecube
Apparently Umbrella makes soda in addition to bioweapons
Covid 19 umbrella
Both the remake and classic is amazing! I remember when I was a kid and played RE1-2-3 but RE2 was my fav one, and I was so scared of it! Damn I miss this feeling! I love it how Fans make the video and texture to HD, this game will live forever ♥ thanks fans , thanks the upload
14:02
How tf this Guy cant shoot a Zombie but can shot the Helicopter guy😂
Redbunn he shoot zombies but not in the head xd
Is Eliot Edward
Ahhh he had an MP5 with unlimited ammo but couldn't kill them, meanwhile our intrepid heroes can kill them with handguns.
Not a main character
I'm impressed they bothered to re-render the same CGI cutscene from different camera angles over and over again. XD
That’s effort! 👍
Rest in Peace Paul Haddad
That is damn good CGI for a PlayStation 1. Back when voice acting audio files took up so much damn space on a disc. It amazes me that gaming from the early 90’s is so massively different than gaming in the late 90’s.
There are two main differences in two oposite types of hardware:
PC in early 90's: Only 2D acceleration and hardware that wasn't universal, for example each one operated differenty than their peers so coders had to program full support for every one of them, hence why in old games you had a list of both sound and video hardware to choose and pray it worked.
Consoles in early 90's: Both cardtridge and 16-bit designs limited everything, developers had to either force the hardware or use many tricks to improve both gameplay and presentation.
PC in late 90's: The entire hardware line was universal, every pece of it was designed in a somewhat similar fashion so compatibility went thru the roof, on top of this 3D hardware accelarated cards came into life and the introduction of Direct X broke almost every limitation the developers had, this signing the end of console domination on videogames and turning the PC into a proper full time gaming enviroment.
Consoles in late 90's: The introduction of CD-ROMs and the 3D accelerated enviroment made possible many new things, although the hardware was very limited in memory, developers could push the system like before, so their games could make a run to try to reach the quality aviable on PC at that time.
Of course all of this depends on the platform for wich the game was created, JRPGs con Consoles dominated the landscape while CRPGs on PC were way more demanding on user attention and willing to improve their abilities instead of the more streamlined JRPG design.
Though these are the best quality versions of the CGI cutscenes from the 2006 Sourcenext PC port. It's highly likely that they actually got the source files again and fit those onto that port.
If there's one thing i miss in video games, its these classic FMVs that stuck around from the fifth generationuntil the sixth and seventh.
IMO. The original ending of RE2 is a lot better than whatever tf RE2R ending was.
The only thing lacking was what the og had multiple scenarios which is 4 of them they still kept everything same no matter you finish Leon A and Claire B then Claire A Leon B still the same still gameplay great biggest bright side
The only thing they forgot to put is the cool guitar song but capcom put it in the donutshop in re 3 remake
The ending of the remake was a disappointment for me.. the scene of Leon on the top of the train with the soundtrack is fantastic.. all lost in the remake.. and that truck guy giving the finger on the remake is like capcom giving the finger to us.. the true fans
@@PauloAwazu "true fans" lmao
@@guiltyhxcog RE fanboys when the remakes actually remake the game ☠️ "true fans" - 🤓
Thanks favor this really i wanted to see this in HD
For me the best game of the saga
Yes indeed
Apparently in the N64 Version, the "Annette's Reveal" Cutscene used is the Claire version, regardless of which campaign you're playing. Guess they had to remove the Ada version to save space.
Maybe.
38:02 man this quotes is best
How did Leon pass the driving portion of the exam? Doesn't signal lane changes, cuts of semis... This game should have been one cut scene and credits.
It really bothers you that much?
Who give this shit ????
@@andrewilliamcesardossantos1555 I give this shit right here
@@slipprygoblinwithayoutubec3562 aw , hm a shit ? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
When i was kid it was pretty unusual that game has 2 different names (resident evil, biohazard)
@spoon then came Resident Evil VII Biohazard
happy 25th anniversary resident evil series!!! :3
The difference between the remake and the original is that the original has more deapth to it and the cutscenes of the true ending is better than the remake by far
Plus the original has 4 endings and remake has 2
The true ending in the remake is practically the same weather leon or claire its tbe same
This game had the best graphics for its time and the scene with the agents with hunk fighting birkin is good
0:14 was that the umbrella soda
38:02 RIP Paul Haddad the original Leon S Kennedy
3 years of waiting...and we still do not have that RE Legacy Collection on Steam/X1/XS/XX/PS4/PS5
15:45 x gonna give it to ya
Have y’all noticed in the cgi the windows aren’t damaged? 😩
Do you have a download link to the raw video files?
33:04 It.. WORKED!!
The sound the guy makes when he is getting shot by the sub machine gun xD to me, it sounds really funny
happy 25th anniversary resident evil 2!!! :3
Claire, you wanna know whats worst than a zombie apocalypse, the U.S Army
3:09 Headshot
My version of the game the game always showed the scene of birkin getting killed then taking out alpha team but never showed the helicopter crash
What is that guy holding by holding the g virus sample
The motion capture looks really good for 1998.
R.I.P Paul Haddad😔
Question:
How come the first actor of Leon of RE2 didn't played the role throughout the series, before Paul Mercier takes over?
He had throat cancer and a tumor on one of his vocal cords being removed but permanently changing his voice. I Believe that's why but I'm not sure. Sadly he passed away back in 2020
@@danielmorales9608 health problems.

WHAT FLAVOR?!
Nutella fucking generation.. This is art. It's a shame that Capcom forgot his core audience.. RE0 Remake right now!
Why cant they make games like this anymore?
Man thats a good question
What s going on Paul Haddad tell me please 🥺
This might be a stupid question, but during the Claire B ending, why is Leon with Sherry instead of Claire? In the cutscene right before, Leon went to another room, and Claire stayed to talk with Sherry, so why did they suddenly switch places? It's been bugging me recently, and I'd appreciate any answers. I'm aware it's probably just a mistake, but still... (P.S. 26:50 is the moment specifically.)
EDIT: While we're on the topic of weird inconsistencies, why is it that, during the Leon B ending, Leon is suddenly outside the control room and talking about how the door is locked when he was LITERALLY JUST THERE in the cutscene right before? The moment is 35:34, and it makes no sense - you can even see the emergency stop button on the wall next to him...
Don't forget that this is a collection of the CGI cutscenes only, the game constantly mixes in-game cutscenes with CGI cutscenes. In B scenarios the character you're controlling goes out to fight William one last time so they're always locked outside the front train car
@@Klarden I guessed that might be the case. Thanks for clearing it up! Great job compiling all the cutscenes as well.
This looks better than the new blade runner.
I never noticed but Leon didn't signal when he changed lanes.
Can You Do RE1?
What do you mean? He didn't do anything. He just posted a video to show how the FMV's look from the 2006 PC release by SourceNext/Capcom. That version has the highest quality version FMV's of any version of RE 2.
4:38 I think Rick and Mort were going on a adventure with zombies
Wey batter then tlou2 cutsense (・ω・)
18:00 yum
Birkin was eating the g virus samples
14:30 14:53
28:56 37:39
Here's the real annette birkin, beautiful, stylish, lovely. In the remake both claire and her look terrible
I forgot how bad and emotionless the voice acting was. I love the 90s
This game's VAs are a lot better than the first one lol
Why it was called biohazard 2 ?
Resident Evil is called Biohazard in Japan
@@The_BEST_Rookie_Cop ok thanks, now i know why 👍
Me hubiera gustado que el remake se hubiera apegado alo original
18:19
You know something? For all the complaining people do about the uncanny valley look the CGI has, why haven't they modded the original game to use sprites and other assets instead of the original cutscenes??
We've modded the game in many many different ways, but never touched the cutscenes.
That would take a lot of work someone would have to animate the cutscenes again. And some of the objects/textures don't exist on the actual game, Just in the prerendered cutscene. That's a lot of work
JKT48TM❤❤❤
i'd take this with english subs and no bugs over the Re2 remake we got
