The Iron "balanced" Rain is not over powered. It's balanced. That balancing effect of deleting a full health tier 8 medium while hidden from 300 meters.
Its a fun tank, but I still prefer the Borsig from the tech tree. Sure the Iron Rain has the burst damage, but the Borsig has higher DPM. It just suits my playstyle better.
I’ve heard this line before by proponents of WOTC, buy this or that tank, it’s so op and awesome. In reality it all depends of mm and rng, as playing the bottom tier consistently puts one off and having rng destroy your game does much the same. Don’t listen to anyone who tells you any different, the game is an algorithm driven rng feast with money as the first equation. Just my opinion but after 7 years nothing has really changed one iota.
Yep bottom tier 2 out of 3 games with the 3rd game more than likely middle.
Also it needs a good crew to play well.
Its a great td ruined by all the shitty game mechanics. Being permanently bottom tier with reduced accuracy and +- 25% damage and penetration rng its completely outclassed by everything else.
The game is absolute Bullshit. RNG makes most of the decisions on who wins and losses. Skill is a small part of the game. Mostly counts for 1v1 not 15v15.
I'm in the camp that the games are predetermined. Or at least, pre weighted for one team.
@@aoli7313 some games are clearly wieghted. For instance the new OP premiums will usually be grouped together.
I also had a strange thing happen to me over the course of about 6 weeks I could predict the daily winrate within about 5% and considering the large gap in numbers it was quite an achievement. 2 days would be 60-80% and then 2 days 35- 55% depending on how many games I played. I also noticed that on the low days my kill shots would miss noticeably more.
I ended up writing something on the forum and got the usual bs saying I'm wrong ect and decided to change how I play, instead of random tanks,tiers and eras I would play a tank for a few games at a time, play at least 4 before moving onto another tank or changing game modes, tiers or eras. My daily wr has levelled out between 60-70% .
So make of that what you will, was it the game or rng that was causing strange scores,were wg testing something on my account , was it the fact i made a fuss on the forum about it, or was it simply a fact that I was mucking things up for myself.
I will never know but I suspect it's the last answer
@@cloraformsgood5340 check my stats, they are similar. 2-3 days +50% than 2-3 days of under 50%.
Look at my stats on my T95/FV4201, Chieftain, Valour and UDES 15/16. You'd think I didn't know how to play. I have great stats, but lose most games in them by 7 tanks or more.
Soon as I hit +60% WR in a tank. If I don't carry the game, we won't win.
I just got this tank and man it's probably the best tier 8 I've ever used. Got a 8k combined game in this thing. And rocking a 3500 wn8 in 13 games.
It’s basically a tier 9 at tier 8, it can take out majority of tier 8s in 5.5s seems balanced. To put the first game into perspective 5k combined in a Indien Panzer is a comfortable ace tanker where as 1920 base xp game in this thing is only a 1st class
The Iron rain used to be my favorite tier 8 tanks until wargaming decided to nerf it’s accuracy from 0.33 to 0.37 and half the time regardless if I’m fully aiming I’ll almost never hit a full clip from rng.
It's good at tier8 but it takes a lot of skill and a very good crew to do very well regular.
When I see them I count the shots they fire then ram them for half their health while sticking an HE into it , if you have a good light player the odds are you will never have to deal with it at all.
This tank is a monster I've had mine for 3yrs now it's one tank I'll always play
It has benefitted a lot from the 6.0 accuracy buffs, unlike before, where it felt quite derpy. I use camo net, optics, and traction system, enhanced repair kit, fuel and rations. The 10% engine boost, plus raising the top speed to 40 kph really helps getting around. No First aid is a bit of a risk, but you are not supposed to be detected with this tank anyway.
got my highest damage game ever in this tank on this exact map, 10,274 in tier 10 game only 2 tier 8 being me and another TD.
I wasn't sure if I should get this tank bc it is alot of my gold but I will now.
Good tank. I think I have like a million vehicle XP on this. I think you can put the invisible camo skin on this and further decrease your detectability. Just don’t stray too far from your teammates.
Correction. I have 1.8 million vehicle XP on the Iron Rain. Wish there was a way to covert it to free XP with using gold.
@@billyrayvalentine309 I have a lot of XP aswel. It just costs way to much Gold to convert. I might wait for those % deals on conversion to come into play. That's likely to happen around Black Friday.
Also got the tank, ive been waiting for a long time for the 50% bonus, but still making a crew for this tank. No doubt its a great tank. If the tech tree is good, having 3 shoots is just crazy.

For myself I can usually only count on 2 of the 3 shells when sniping.
Easy way to solve TX ammo choice, always load premium when TX are in the game. Problem solved 😬
I have both the iron rain and the borsig and I get an extra 1200 dpm with same crew and set up using the 12,8 cm kanone except you can get advanced loader on the regular one and you can't use it on the iron rain they're both good the autoloader is both advantage and disadvantage
I think the 130pm is a more powerful td. The auto loader is a weakness.

Wow, but it is a bit slow isn’t it?- even with drive train boosting. (Bought it on your recommendation) first game: 13-1 loss: whole team picked apart without hardly seeing enemy tanks and overrun for one pen ☹️…. 2nd game: 13-1 win- couldn’t keep,up and didn’t fire a shot ☹️3rd game win with one clip fired & 1 kill, 😒 4th game also,win and 3 clips fired for 3 kills…… 😍 this maybe the tank that finally teaches me to drive sneaky td’s… 😃👍

The gun on this tank is far superior to the Scorpion / Scorpion G gun. This is like a much more accurate version of the Scorpion. Probably 4-5 years ago, they nerfed the F out of the Scorpion's sigma, which really hurt its accuracy (if I remember correctly).

As long as you remember to play it as a stealthy, slow TD, and not as a front line brawler... I've seen soda cans with more armor!
But for those who know how to play it, the Iron Rain is awesome!
I've had my eye on this thing for a couple years now... almost bought it a few months ago while it was on sale, but decided to hold off. It totally made my day when I got it for free in a Key Card (which I got just for playing the game!)

I'd say the SHASKA surpasses it imo. I love using it when the situations are good
I 3 marked the Tech tree variant and hate this variant. The gun is derpy, doesn't pen half the time, and have that long of a reload with paper armor and useless teams? Pass. Yeah, you can farm damage because of how passive you have to play.
It’s the only t8 tank other than the same tier arty player you won’t care if your in a t10 game only if your team doesn’t lemming

I still don't understand why war gaming decided to give it an auto loader when you can see the breach there's no auto loading system there it would have been better just to have a premium voice with the same gun and all that it does not need the auto loader at all in a tank couldn't even fit an auto loader in it to begin with
I got the tank, it is far from OP. That is my personal opinion ofc. Its super slow, has zero armor, the gun handling is not the best and if a light focus you, then you have no chance. So I disagree with all respect sir, in my personal opinion this tank is not OP. It is very very team related tank
100% Agree. It's a very situational tank that is reliable on your team to spot. I think it's consistently better than many other Tier VIII and IX tanks in terms of camo, vision, and damage output. It's very much map dependent, too. Is it a great tank and fun to play...oh yeah!

Just bought it last night. The first 10 game got destroyed in the first 10 sec of game. The next 30 game got 1st in my team all the games. The win rate is horrible though.

With the iron rain too. I have a 42 second reload. for the 30 seconds, do you add equipment, a commander etc?
Adding equipment and a commander makes everything better on your tank!

Dude why does this gun miss so fucking much. I’ve literally fully aimed every shot and they just go completely out of the circle and miss. I’ll go play the su130 with a less accurate gun and somehow hit more shots. I don’t understand

Hi Eclipse, I have experienced the most rigged battle in world of tank today. 5 tanks of my team surrounding a lone wz111 tank left of the enemy team and my team all got killed as all our shots can’t penetrate it at close range. My wz111 tank using premium rounds can’t even damage it with five rounds at the side.
Meh. I'd rather keep my gold for free xp. I see no point in buying prems since we get earn ops every month.
It's extremely slow,think T95 slow unless u add improvements. Reload takes forever and gun traverse is hellcat slow. But..if you are camp the back of the map player and with a good team then the big gun shines. If you are on a bad team then you won't last long with rocket fast light tanks blazing round the map.
I had it and sold it in one day. In the 8 years ive played wot, I think it's one of the worst tanks I've ever played. It takes more than a big gun to be a good tank

LOL..its total crap...your showing a top tier game which you only get 1 in 10 games...it gets destroyed most the time..DONT WASTE YOUR $$...when playing T8 prem..you will get 5 bottom tier..4 mid tiers and only 1 top every 10 games..There are way better credit prem TDs available
Man it's almost like +1-1 would be great for the game and is what 90% of the community agreed with... oh well. Gotta love having almost no say in the match in 2/3 of the games we play right.
