曲のカッコ良さ、アレンジのカッコ良さ、ギターのカッコ良さ、ボーカルのカッコ良さ、そして歌詞の不思議な微妙さ
全てが渾然一体となって凄い曲になっているといつも感じる
歌詞の微妙さはこの曲だけではないのだが鈴木茂のはっぴいえんど随一のアイドル性みたいなものを松本隆が感じてそれを活かそうとしていた感じもある
何度聞いても飽きないし永遠に古びることもないだろう
かっけえ！70年代、80年代がこうした音楽が日本のメインストリートを走っていたら、今の音楽業界、日本のミュージックシーンも変わっていたろうと感じてしまいます。
当時、うちの高校（神戸市内）で鈴木茂を知ってる奴なんて一人も居なかったんで、放課後に一人で、大阪の中之島公会堂に観に行った。まあ、なんてかっこいいんだ！って思いましたよ。
『バンドワゴン』という大傑作アルバムを米国西海岸で製作、発表したはいいが、アルバムのプロモーションを兼ねた国内ツアーを敢行するにあたって、日本人ミュージシャン（楽器プレイヤー）の誰と誰とを起用してそのツアーを行なうか、かなり苦労したそうだね。
レコード録音時のバッキング・ミュージシャンには、サンタナ（バンド）のダグ・ローチやウェンディ・ハース、またタワー・オブ・パワーのデイビッド・ガリバルディ、更にはツアーがちょうど終わったばかりだったリトル・フィートのロゥウェル・ジョージを除く他メンバー、等々、演奏者が腕っこきばかりだったが故、これを、アレンジを多少変えたとしても、日本人演奏者のみで再現するには、人選と、それからそれら人選されたバンドで猛練習する練習時間の確保・調整がすごくタイヘンだったらしい。
いつだったか佐藤博さんがTVで喋ってたなあ。その佐藤博さんも鬼籍に入られて久しい。
