Wesley Chu's books outside the Shadowhunter world intrigue me. I wanna read them. 📖
This is my first book from this author and I enjoy it a lot. It took me almost 100 pages to get into it though.
I love Magical Readathon! This is my third year participating with Ionyra, a fellow Iltirian. She is an orphan, who was raised in the Great Underground Library, and lost her sight after encountering dragon fire on the surface of Darkmeadow. Following "the incident" she could no longer read, until one day the books began reading to her. Io realized then that it was magic and so she enrolled in Orilium to strengthen her skills. She started as an Alchemist but during her second year, she realized the voices reading the books weren't the only ones she could hear. On the advice of her advisor she switched to studying Star Whispering.
I thought The Mystery of Black Hollow Lane was good but Julia Nobel lost me with the second book.
