History of bathu ki ladi :
India has several mysterious and unique places that have a rich historical past. One such mystifying place is Bathu ki Ladi temples in the Kangra district of Himachal. It is one rustic and undiscovered haven in Himachal that is situated close to Pong Dam, around three kilometers from Dhameta, which is a small town in Kangra. This temple is the mystery temple because in 8 months it is in water for only 4 months you can see this temple. People come around the world to see this temple. It is a world-famous temple. The honey bees can also live in this temple so when you visit this temple be careful. Bathu Temple is in the water due to Pong Dam. You can visit the Bathu temple in May, June, July, August only. You can reach this temple by the road of Jawali, Dhan, Matalahar. It is a very beautiful temple you can feel peace when you visit Bathu Temple. As per common belief, this temple was built by some local king who ruled the region, while others connect it to mythological characters Pandavas. They believe that the Pandavas (characters from the epic Mahabharata) tried to build their ‘staircase to heaven’ from here only, which they couldn’t succeed in making.
The nearest airport is located at Dharamshala, the Gaggal Airport. From Kangra, one can hire a taxi to Dhameta village.
