The shibuya incident. Every person in shibuya was subjected to Jaden and Jacob using their domain expansion, malevolent shopping. Then suddenly, every single Pokémon related item disappeared as the money in the wallets of every person in a 100 meter radius was funneled into Jaden’s and Jacob’s shopping spree👍

Gengar should be everyone's favorite. He's an adorable little goblin pillow.
If you need proof, you can find clips from the anime of Professor Oak getting mauled by lots of different Pokemon... except for Gengar, who just plays a harmless little prank on him.

It’s always amazing to see someone experience the euphoria of fully experiencing their favorite nerd thing. While this stuff isn’t what I’m interested, I’m so glad you got to experience everything you did. It’s making me excited about a trip I’m about to take to France, my hyperfixation is history (and European sword fighting, HEMA) and one of the places we will see is the Pope’s castle from the Second Schism (a time when there were like 3 popes). I’m so excited to see such a historic castle. I just know I’m going to nerd out like you did in Japan.
I love that ever since Jaiden made that video about Genshin, she's now including Genshin music in the background of her videos. I'm a hardcore Genshin nerd so hearing them while watching makes me smile.

31 minutes of full animation in just a few months is dedication I can’t even comprehend. It takes roughly 2 years to make a full animation from scratch and the fact that Jaidens team finished this in such short time is beyond enough. Jaiden and her team deserves a break. Phenomenal job!

There’s absolutely no way you’re gonna see this Jaiden, but I was that super anxious fan that chatted with you as you waited in line for that Star Wars restaurant at Disneyland a few weeks ago as of writing this (it’s okay if you don’t remember it, the park was busy that day lol; also fun fact I was originally going to say hello to Jacob-he never spoke to me but in my excitement I failed to take into account how introverted he his, REALLY sorry about that Jacob, as a fellow introvert I can relate-& I had no idea you were even in line until you turned around 😅), & I just wanted to say thank you so much for that! Word of advise from a veteran japan weeber, dont buy suitcases, buy boxes, go to fedex, send them to yourself in the U.S. but put a week or two delay on the post. So that the boxes arrive when you are back home. Rinse and repeat during your stay, but having 1 extra suitcase for stuff is always a must.
Btw, you didnt even make it past level 1 depth ice berg weebing out in japan. Theres some giant 24hour manga/figure/comic/card/games stores that will suck up every single penny you own. You would have been able to buy some of the most obscure original titles on cartridges second hand at these places. They are amazing. When I say huge, I mean huge, the manga sections are like Libraries. Its insane

One of the few perks of growing up in a tourist town is that I know ALL of the tricks for maximizing a vacation while not looking like and idiot. Yes, MAIL your souvenirs back home is 100% the way.
I love how as time passes, Jaiden grows more and more attached and obsessed with Chiikiwa, to the point she literally ignores everything else whenever she sees one. It's both hilarious and simultaneously creepy at the same time

You can usually talk to the staff and exchange a certain amount of capsules for the thing you want. That way you don't get cut off. Thankfully Jaiden doesn't know Japanese well enough to do that, or else the video would be twice as long :P

2) Jaiden has a Chiikawa obsession and I'm glad she's been diagnosed since the trip

Actually, I have been in trips to Japan four times and it was so cool, both traditional with culture and one with my personal favorites: Jurassic Park, Godzilla, Monster Hunter, Pokemon, Nintendo (Sonic and Mario), Rurouni Kenshin, Violet evergarden, and so much more. Thanks for this!!

Pro Tip for gachapon shops! You can ask the owner if you can change any multiples you have and they'll look to see how many multiples you've got and depending on the case, you can switch them out for different ones that you don't already have!
I've done this once for these adorable soju bottles where I kept getting the original bottles instead of the cute green ones and the dude was SO NICE he let me exchange almost like all the boring ones for the designs I wanted. He was funny too when he was like "Shhhh" as like "don't tell anyone" but I'm sure this is a normal occurance if you end up getting multiples!!
So... who's going to tell Jaiden about the gacha reselling shops where for 2-3x the cost of a blind pull, you can just choose the one(s) you don't have?
Connor did a whole video about selling unwanted prizes to them (they only pay pennies, though).
This explains how they reclaim stock of all the unwanted duplicates to keep the odds of getting the 5star pigeon really low.

I'm glad you came to Japan again! I’m glad you enjoyed it! There aren't many places in Japan where people can speak English, so I think it's difficult for travelers, but there are so many fun places and delicious food, so I'd be happy if you could come back.

I really appreciate the inclusion of “yeah I was exhausted” points in the video. I tend to push myself way past my limits on trips, and it’s unironically helpful to see that others struggle as much as I do over extended periods of trip time
As an autistic introvert (whichever is relevant in this circumstance), I feel this. I would definitely need multiple days to recover. Going anywhere and doing anything while on vacation, for example, is existentially exhausting. I can only imagine how miserable they must’ve been when it was brought up. Still, I’m happy they had a blast and I’m sooo jealous of all the stuff they got to do!
This is why I prep myself with extreme exercise prior to any trip: 2 hours of weight lifting and 3-4 hours of cardio. By the time I get to a cool place (i.e. Copenhagen or Montreal) I'm able to walk 20 miles and not feel much in the way of physical exhaustion.
this reminds me of the time that i went a tour around europe for a month and we missed out on like 1/4 of our stuff just because of sleeping in bc how exhausted we were

It was such a surreal experience walking right out of a karaoke and seeing Jacob and you walk past my girlfriend and I in the busy busy streets of Japan (around Nishishinjuku??)- thank you very kindly for being so nice and letting me take a picture with you!! As a big fan from New Zealand, it was absolutely not in my 2023 bingo cards to bump into one of my all time favourite CZcamsrs, and it absolutely made my whole year.

I absolutely love video game symphonies, I have only ever been to a single one, and it was the recent Nier:Automata 2024 Orchestra concert tour, it was the Atlanta one. I went with the friend who introduced me to the game. The Orchestra was amazing, I got a neat little music box that plays one of the songs, and while I wasn't lucky enough to nab VIP tickets that include a meet and greet (which included Yoko Taro, the director of the Nier games), he and the others from the meet and greet came out at the end to thank us for going. The best part was when Yoko Taro himself PRAISED THE FOX THEATER FOR HOW BEAUTIFUL IT IS. It's so beautiful whenever a community comes together for an event for something they think is niche, only to discover tons of other fans in varying progress of the game. I met people who got every ending, played every Nier game there is, or just finished ending A of the entire game. I only have one pokemon game, Pokémon Moon for the 3ds, and I've barely played it because I'm not the best at turn based rpg games, but I totally get the excitement Jaiden had going to a Pokémon symphony. I'm sorry this turned out so long but I love to rant about a lot of different things and easily side track in conversation lol.
The fact that Jaiden had to add the fact she annoyed Jacob the whole flight just shows they are so close they are practically siblings.

New Zealand is amazing, we’re known for greenery and beauty, and as a kiwi myself I just wanna give you a suggestion on what to do down here and why (This will cost a lot so if you can’t I entirely understand, even though you probably won’t see this anyway).
1: Zealandia: Location: Wellington. Island: North.
Zealandia is a beautiful nature reserve holding trees and birds native to New Zealand. This place is trying to help endangered species by clearing out pests in the area. They’re also part of an organisation that is dead set on reducing the amount of pests in the Wellington region. The place is beautiful and you can’t miss it.
2: Hamilton gardens: Location: Hamilton. Island: North. Hamilton gardens is a place full of, you guessed it, gardens. These gardens are based off different things, like Tudor garden, or the Italian garden. The place is incredibly big, it’s hard to actually see all of it. The gardens are beautiful and I definitely recommend.
3: Kellytaltons: Location: Auckland. Island: North. Kellytaltons is the only underwater aquarium in New Zealand, and although it may be small, it’s absolutely amazing. The conveyor belt, the penguin area, all of it is amazing and picturesque. I don’t have much else to say about Kellytaltons though, because I haven’t been there in ages.
4: Any zoo. I know of 3, Auckland zoo, Hamilton zoo, and Wellington zoo. The good thing about our zoos is that we treat our animals well. Unlike heaps of zoos in America which obtain the animals by shooting them with tranquilliser darts and kidnapping them.
5: Rotorua and Taupo. These are their own locations and the reason I’m putting them both together is because they’re both volcanic. While lake Taupo used to be a supervolcano, it’s now a picturesque, and absolutely ginormous lake, and Rotorua is full of geysers and those boiling mud puddles. These places are amazing and I would definitely recommend.
6: Te papa. Location: Wellington. Island: North. Te papa is a museum that is actually really fun to go to, and not really boring like most are. There’s a nature section, one about what happened to the ANZAC forces in WW1 (You probably won’t know what that is), and so much more. I can’t think of much else to say, but it’s still really cool.
All of these places are from the North Island, because that’s where I’m from. Anyone in the replies who can give her some ideas for the South Island please do. I hope you end up seeing this and I love your content!

It's so cool to see how Jaiden's animation style has so distinctively evolved and or improved, you can clearly tell that she has experience with vitalizing every single stroke of a pen. (this came out more sophisticated sounding than I meant to, also all hail to tuxedo Magnemite)

Not gonna lie, watching Jaiden's Chiikawa obsession materialize on Instagram back when they were in Japan was interesting, but seeing it happen through this video was outright hilarious. I lost it when it showed Jacob taking the pic in the store. I feel like this would be me with anything The World Ends With You or Kingdom Hearts related if I went to Japan and found merch from either series, just me obsessively trying to get anything for my favorite characters while my friends and family see the brain rot I've had for these franchises since I was ten resurface and take over.

Whenever you are going to go on a trip you definitely need to prep by walking longer and longer distances because no matter how far you think you will walk you will walk more and your feet will hurt
i love how in the first 30 seconds in the video jaiden spontaneously combusts, really shows how unhinged her video's can get and i'm all for it
This is so corny but I’ve been watching Jaiden’s videos since the 2016/2017 era and it makes me so happy to see how much she’s grown and how incredible her videos are. The part at the end where she mentioned her friends made me genuinely tear up. Thank you for all the laughs over the years :)

recently i went to scotland, and was pretty nervous because my sister, my mom, and I have celiac’s disease so we cant have gluten (wheat, barley, etc.) i also have emetophobia (fear of puking) so i was very nervous if we were going to random restaurants we might get sick. but, when we went, it was SUPER gluten-free friendly and we never got sick ONCE. rather, if i was doing it in the us, i was told a story that my mother went to this restaurant and told specifically that one of their foods was gluten free, BUT IT WASNT!!
so, i just told this bc i heard there werent many vegan/vegetarian options in japan, which really surprised me because usually the us in my opinion is worse when it comes to allergies because me and my family have gotten sick *many* times…

The Sanji-san moment reminds me of when I was part of a 12-day class in Tokyo. There was about a dozen and a half of us and two teachers. We were sitting at a rural train station halfway to Nīkko waiting for our connecting train and there was a little boy like 4 or 5 years old and his grandma. The boy walked up to our group and ran away calling out to his grandma. When they walked away, one of our teachers translates for us. “Grandma! Grandma! The foreigners are scary!” Truly a magical moment 🤣🤣

I LOVE the way Japanese audiences do encores. It builds suspense and hype. American encores are good, they keep the momentum, but having the energy drop like a calm before a storm really makes the encore hit
Here in Scotland, when we want an encore it usually ends up like the band has just left the stage and everyone starts chanting;
"ONE MORE TUNE! ONE MORE TUNE!" And it's actually pretty funny to witness and be a part of, especially if you're not from Scotland. I think our accents are a big part of it.
Bands and musicians from the UK are usually expecting it and think it's fun too, but bands and musicians from other places are always caught off guard and it's just as funny haha.
