One of the best things about Kamloops: Sun Peaks - another municipality that's close by haha. Sometimes I say as a joke that the best thing about Calgary is Banff - and you put the joke in your doc :D Still, great visuals and very well produced! I love this town!

Personally, I would argue that the Olympics are over-rated, and only perpetuate unpresidented and idiotic spending. They are a complete waste of money, and should not be funded by the citizens taxes in any connection. The Olympics should be a non-profit event with sponsor funding and donation.

I like the one room school idea. This was the way in the old days and the education was quite good. Add modern tech, the internet, and a healthy outdoor life and you have a winner.

I love Kamloops because of the martian landscape. After moving to BC from Ontario, I never would have imagined a semi-desert SW US landscape existing in Canada. I am hoping to move there, but slightly afraid of +45 C summers and smoke from forest fires. Any advice?

HA ! IS that what all you Ontarians and others 'out east' think about BC ? You have got a big surprise when you get here, cuz the only "Weed Culture" areas that exist in BC are places where all the left wing hippies live that have moved here over the decades from places like Ontario these days and the USA during the Vietnam War era in the old days, and they hang out in very specific locations, like Nelson BC in the Kootenays and metro Vancouver in general.
Their ya go. Ride bicycles out on bicycle trails. What a great idea. People down south need to become familiar with this concept. Instead of riding on pathways made for Motor Vehicles. Beautiful.
You're missing out a very exciting aspect of mobility. Commuting by bike may seem alien to you, but if your way is shorter than ten miles, you should give it a try.

Kamloops, the one city that smells like toilet all year round because of the pulp mill.
