Thankyou sooo much for this video. I have just successfully changed the heater core in my r51 pathfinder and used your video as a guide. It was invaluable 👍
Great video, best by far on this topic. My R51 makes a chattering noise when selecting the demist setting or going back out of demist on the front screen. I can see the white selector wheel chattering a little as it moves in or out of that position. Mine has little vents/windows in the black cover. Wondering if it is safe to remove the cover and white selector wheel in situ so I can check the flapper movement or will all the flappers drop out of position and won't be able to get it all back in right? Any ideas?
I have never tried to attempt to remove/replace in situ so not sure if I can help. Possibly the blend door motor is worn or needs a clean? On a different vehicle I have had a noisy blend door motor & I removed it & cleaned it and it worked well
@@mekanixyourlocalcardoctor3726 Thanks for the reply. By blend door I believe you are referring to the Fresh/Recirc door, is that correct? I am not up on all the terminology. That side of the system works fine. It is when I change the setting to Demist and back the wheel that sets all the flaps. not sure if it is the flap sticking, the wheel sticking or the drive gear damaged. All other settings seem smooth. Anyway thanks for the reply, just not sure if I should take it apart. I might wait and see if anyone else has tried this.
I can't remember what I had for dinner last night let alone how long it took me to do the dash job on the Navara LOL. Usual dash out/evaporator replacement times are approximately 11-16 hours
