I've been natural since 2015 after years of being relaxes and my family (with straighter hair) always telling me my hair would never grow. This is the first year I've actually invested in taking care of my hair and she is thriving. I've spent a lot of $$$ testing products and I don't even feel bad lol for the first time in my life I love my hair.
This whole year was trial and error for me, but the good thing was Ulta and Target accept returns for used hair products. Ulta gives you 90 days too.
@@gracedottavi3174 I'm in the Caribbean so if I don't like something I'm stuck with it lol but trial and error is exactly it. It's been annoying but also fun along the way. I hope you find your perfect products ❤️
@@lionnesslynx - I ended up trying out the “Twist by Ouidad” products and I’m in love. I understand though, maybe the travel size products you can test before getting bigger ones!

Girl, I feel you with the fact that you see other curly hair influencers and you want to have hair like them. I always seen like influencers with loose curls, while mine are more tight curls. This really made me want to straighten my hair to have “looser curls” like others but that was literally like heat damage lol. But now I know to appreciate my own hair which took some time. Thank you for sharing this I thought I was the only one going through it

Beautiful as usual 🥰. I finally feel like I’m getting past setbacks and not really knowing my hair…. after 6 years. I had it together the first four years of being natural and then I fell off trying to do what everyone else was doing to grow their hair instead of just doing what my hair needed 😐. I started with an inch of hair and then stayed at bra strap for about 6 years and it wasn’t because my hair had reached its full potential. I finally started doing what worked best for my hair… now I’m getting to mid back finally 😊.

I have 3a/3b low porosity and I was laughing when you mentioned your hair didn’t love natural DIY hair masks because honestly whenever I would do one, my hair never liked them either.

Great results with the Cantu styler/leave in. I was waiting on you to mention the hair brush you used. What was it? It managed your hair beautifully.
Felt that about everything you work for disappearing overnight. Yt convinced me I could install my own box braids.. weeks later I’m still begging for my hair’s forgiveness! Lmao all part of the journey 🙃 but your videos keep me on track as far as taking care of my curls!

There was a lot of talking. The product demonstration was the bare minimum. Otherwise, good video. 👍🏾
