Watched this after Doom At Your Service. This just proved that even earlier on Lee Soo Hyuk is capable of stealing the main couple's limelight merely by his charisma. Hope he gets a main lead role soon. Will definitely watch out for it.

The love they both had is both complicated, tragic and pure. Imagine how much he loved her that he became crazy after she died, and how much he restrained to drink her blood(in the story the blood of the one they loved has the sweetest, most irrisistible scent)

The only reason why Gwi was defeated in the end because he no longer have the will to live. He's obviously stronger than the main character and yet he lost. Gwi lost the only one that he truly loved, but consumed with his pride, he kept denying it. It was only then that she died when he fully realized how much she ment to him, she's the only reason he kept living, and if losing her means losing his only reason to live, he's willing to die in the arms of his long time enemy.

Actually watching the show I realised... Gwi probably wanted to control and to have power over humans because of his first love. He didn’t have control over her reaction, how she ran away from him. He was hurt, because she ran away, scared of him. He wanted to prove all humans were as weak as his first love, but at the same time he also wanted someone who would prove him wrong so badly. He doesn’t dare to admit that he is in love out loud because he is afraid that his heart will be shattered again. And the last scene were the underground palace was bombed and light flooded in... it was like he was waiting for someone to kill him for a long time, to end the pain in his heart.
