Every time Russ does a video about Lake Havasu it brings back happy memories for me. I took my first trip to Lake Havasu in October, 2016. It's the perfect month to go. Not too hot and not too cold. It's also a photographer's paradise. Every time I went I'd take a boat tour somewhere and take photos and shoot videos as the most scenic places are only accessible by boat.
So beautiful! Feels like I am there. Love those road shots. I feel like I am in my car driving! Love it Russ! Very therapeutic 😌

Thanks for the virtual Havasu visit, Russ. I'm by no means an old-timer, but I first visited the lake in the late 80s before it got really "crowded". One of the best trips ever we stopped on the way to the Grand Canyon. We rented a jet ski for the afternoon and ended up spending the night out on the undeveloped edge of the lake. It was so peaceful out there, we had a beautiful sunset that seemed to last forever. Good times!

What a great video, people enjoying the great outdoors. Glad you stopped for tea before crossing the bridge. Enjoyed the views from the drone. I love Parker/lake Havasu in October and November. The sun hits the rock mountains with such beautiful sun shadows. Also everyone is in a better mood cuz it's not 125 degrees. 😂

Wow I can't believe how developed it's gotten. There used to be a old London cab next to the phone booth the last time I was there in 1984. I have a picture somewhere of my wife and I standing in front of it. Thanks for the blast from the past Russ!

Well Russ...finally back down in the winter playground from the west coast of Canada...Covid returnees you could say...last time here March 16.2020...many of us headed for homelands , no choice given....Your videos always keep me attached to this lovely part of the world. As usual, back in Needles, but was lucky to get a couple of nights in the London Bridge resort earlier this month...Great place, but....outch...priceeeee. Earlier this year, so really feeling the intensity of the heat,soon to be cooling off to more moderate temperatures. .take care as usual...LHC AZ....hard to beat....

Every President's weekend there is a pyrotechnic get together at Sara park, Fireworks all weekend, they can teach you how to build skyrockets. The first time I saw the show back in the 90's they had it computerized in sync with music, I had never seen anything like it...

Quick fact. The light post on the London bridge are Napoleons cannons that where brought back from Waterloo where Napoleons army was defeated by the brits
Drone shots super sweet
Brings back good memories. I owned two different boats and went out to Havasu usually starting on Easter and going until mid October or so. Every 2 to 3 weeks. I did that for 12-15 years. Eventually sold the boat and I don't believe I have went back since. Even fun things get old when you do them over and over again.

I love Lake Havasu. We go there for a month every winter.....didn't make it last winter....sure hope we can make it this winter.
We were just there in Lake Havasu, loved it! Something I always do when I'm in the Havasu City area is play disc golf. Multiple places to play (including Sara Park and London Bridge Golf Course.
I love this! We are staying here in an RV now (2nd year snowbirds) and it’s so cool to see your video of this area, really well done!

I stayed at the Island Inn Hotel during the "Run to the Sun" Hot Rod Show. ( ... happens right now ) We rented a Motor Boat, cruised around the Island and had a great time. The Thursday Cruise Night at MC Culloch St. was great 😁😁😁😁
That's one of the best car show's around. The weather can be hit and miss this time of year. Friday was a perfect boating day with a slight breeze, Saturday was a perfect car show day the lake was blown out and Sunday was the same...

Missed you by 1 day Russ. I was at the London Bridge about 9am on Wednesday morning. The weather was perfect!
Someone flew my parents from Denver to Havasu in the 60,s to look at real estate . Dad bought. Sold a few years later. Said, “ this place will never amount to much”. Whoopsie!!!!!!!

RUSS, Next time go out on the island and go to the disc golf course. ( easy parking ). Get out walk some of the course/park and film the back of the Big house's. There is a paved walking trail. I think people would like it.
The ferry goes there after the Dixie Bell was retired. It's free from Havasu Landing but $4 to get back to that casino over there. Those Slingshot cars can be rented for $250 for 4 hours.
Was there in February of this year. Drove, walked, ate at all those places you just showed us on this video. It was a lot more crowded but not too bad. A great place to visit. Once. Too hot most of the year.

Love Havasu vids! I don't recognize that Island at all anymore. None of those neighborhoods were out there when I lived there, and I remember the Airport being on the Island in the early 90s. I think where that trailer park is now.

We were there this summer and really enjoyed seeing the bridge and we drove the loop on the island. Unfortunately it was too hot to enjoy some fish and chips by the water. Thank you for showing this sight!

I really liked the boat tour @ $2.00 that you took us on earlier this year. I noticed the campground on the way in has cabin rentals as well as tent & RV sites. I got excited seeing you wave, & of course I naturally waved back. You couldn't see me. hehe The things we do out of habit. I love the aerial views. Enjoyed seeing the Parakite (?) flying over Lake Havasu. That was exciting! 👍😊️

Real estate prices are still reasonable in the suburbs around Las Vegas, when compared to Lake Havasu. You can buy a very nice house for 300 000 $ in Summerlin for example. You are close to every service imaginable but you are not on a beach front though. Everything has a price, I guess. Nice, sunny video only you know how to produce. Cheers ! RICHARD

Hi Russ....Im a fulltime solo traveler coming from Colorado in November as a first time snowbird. Quartzite, Parker and Havasu..how do I choose?? You have so much knowledge of the area. I know I would prefer not to stay in a RV park, mostly boonedock; i know about the long term. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks for the videos, Im a new subscriber!

'Our' Island will be developed, which means over-developed. They need a 2nd Bridge to alleviate holiday traffic and also for emergencies.
The City almost got developers to pay for it, but the '08 crash happened and they never pushed developers to help with another bridge.

Russ or somebody, please explain the different docking scenarios. Think I understand Boon-Dock and Dry-dock. What others are there? How can you tell if they have hook-ups or not?

Boondocks . If you have a self contained camper might be acceptable. I would be concerned about being a victim when you are parked in the middle of nowhere. Crime is the result of opportunity.. I would rather pay money for a secure camping spot. Paying with my life to save a few bucks, NO.
