The 18 Minute Super Jesselton Bird Stall (ft. Irene S1)

    Agonizing map to play. The gimmick of enemies taking no damage except from their blocker is funny at first, but quickly devolves into an actual nightmare when you realize your most effective melee ops for the job are terrible at getting through high DEF and also get 2-shot by Jesselton and the big prisoners.
    So I had to buckle down for a 18 minute long run- probably around 15 minutes of it were in 1x speed or bullet time, as setting it to 2x or being careless at 1x speed means instant death for whoever is blocking a big prisoner or Jesselton. Funnily enough, I actually had more trouble solving the two big prisoners than I did with Jesselton, as this winning run was the first run I had actually managed to kill all other mobs in. Still didn't stop me from completely locking in for 11 minutes of Gnosis S2/imprisonment device clicking.

    Jesselton with massive hp, atk and aspd buff isn't enough as a boss so they had to throw the real duelist mechanic which is receiving damage from their blocker

    Total clear time: 18 minutes.
    Funnily enough, I actually had more trouble solving the two big prisoners than I did with Jesselton, as this winning run was the first run I had actually managed to kill all other mobs in.
    CN also did 7 ops, using Elysium S2(???) in place of Astesia and Gnosis S3 instead of S2. I legitimately have no idea how they managed to kill the big prisoners... or stall Jesselton without Gnosis S2. Unfortunately they never uploaded a video for it, so I guess I'll never know.

      Elysium S2 reduces DEF by 35% for 15 seconds and Gnosis S3 gives effectively 13 seconds of 60% Fragile. I guess they just bursted. Which doesn't sound much better than a 18 minute clear tbh. Even with manual stall, you have a lot of tools in your clear. CN's sounds like hoping for the best. At least attempts are faster, I guess.

      ​@@nestrior7733 Gnosis does nothing about defense as fragile is applied after defense calculations so elysium is unironically much better

      @@kyarumomochi5146 Fragile applies after the DEF calculations, yes. That's the point. And is, in isolation, stronger than the DEF reduction. Because it amplifies _damage taken_ . Aka it doesn't get reduced by DEF again. So you get your first number from the regular calculations and then *_multiply_* that by the Fragile %.
      Taking a 2k ATK vs a 1k DEF target, we get 1k damage.
      Elysium alone ups that to 1350 while Gnosis alone gives us 1600 (if the target is Frozen).
      Combine both however and you suddenly hit for 2160.
      And remember: % decreases (and increases for that matter) are stronger the higher the base number is. 2k ATK vs. 2k DEF returns 1120 with both. That's still more than the 2k ATK vs 1k DEF without anything from the first example. BUT! Here you have to combine the two for Fragile to take effect. Still want to cash in on it tho.
      So the CN strategy likely boiled down to just bursting down the big guys and then Jesselton. No clue how stable it is to get there, but that's the basic idea.

    the fact that ranged enemies in this game can just stand in one place if they have enough atk spd is still so funny to me.

    how did you get the map to shrink? like, make it not so zoomed in?

      Playing on a device with a wider than normal resolution makes everything a bit smaller. Emulator settings should probably be able to accomplish something similar, but I’ve never toyed with that on LDplayer or similar emulators so I wouldn’t know how to actually do that.

      Everything after the first big prisoner gets blocked is manual stall :)
