    Great video. We just purchased our new to us 2012 Winnebago Journey 36M and love it. I will be doing all the preventative maintenance this spring when we get it out of winter storage. This help make it easier. Blessings and don't forget to pray!

      Thanks Mike!
      Congrats on your new purchase! I know you guys are chomping at the bit to get it out and spend some time in it! RVing just gets in your blood, and is such a joy! Even when things go sideways, they are tough in the moment, but make the best stories!!

      Where do you guys live?

    Add a small clear tube into the hydro fluid reservoir and then turkey bast into the clear tube so you don't have to stretch back there still.

    Thank you so much! What did you use to fill them with the grease? Will any regular grease work?

    I need to lift the front end on my class C to replace shocks, steering damper and wheel bearings can I use my levelers to lift front end?

    • @RVPastorKevin
      @RVPastorKevin  Před 3 lety

      Yes..... and no. You can use them to lift the rig, but don’t use them to hold it. Chock the rear tires front and back, set the parking brake, then Use the jacks to lift the front, and then set jack stands under the rig, and then set the rig back on the jacks. And then make some
      Cribbing under the leveling jacks and put a little weight from the jacks on the cribbing.
      That way the weight of the rig is supported by things made to support weight, and the jacks on the cribbing is there for safety purposes.

    Have a 99 Discovery 37v. Have one of my leveling jacks that is leaking. Have you ever rebuilt one of these or had to buy parts? Thanks for the good info . On our way home from a recent trip the jack contr panel would show all jacks were up but then while driving it kept beeping and flashing. Probably have a low fluid level due to a leaking jack. Good to know. Haven’t been able to find any additional information on the leveling system.
    Thanks,
    God Bless

      Same rig that I have! Awesome!
      The blinker light beeper nag sound is only there to give you a fluid level.... when the fluid level gets low, it figures the fluid is gone from the reservoir and out to the jacks.... so you are spot on with the beeping, you are low of fluid.
      If you have a jack that is leaking.. the first (and easiest) thing to do is grease the heck out of the zerks on the jack. You should have a grease zerk at the base of east cylinder. Hook up your favorite grease gun and pump ‘er full of juice. That will seal the seals, and should dampen any fluid loss you are getting. Also, while the rams are extended, give all 4 a good coat of silly-cone to help with their movement.
      If you still have a leak, then a rebuild is the next item up for bids. They are serviceable, so yanking one off and taking it somewhere to be rebuilt is a good idea. Plenty of local hydraulic shops can do it. They are SUPER HEAVY, so be ready for the weight.
      Finally, the best advice I can give you is to join the Discovery Owners Association. We have an amazing tech support forum, and lots of guys ready to help and give advice.... way more better than what I can give too!

    Hey Pastor,
    Got another question for you. We have the same rig and I am unable to start my generator. Does it have its own independent battery or is it tied to the coach or engine battery? I can’t seem to find it. Thanks God Bless

    • @RVPastorKevin
      @RVPastorKevin  Před 3 lety

      The chassis battery bank (2 sealed deep cycle 12v batteries) starts the engine. The house batteries (2 6v wet lead acid batteries) power the house lights, etc and they are also used to start the generator. If your house batteries are weak, they won’t start the generator. On your dash there is a switch that combines both battery banks together, in case one bank dies.
      Hold that switch down and then hold down the switch to crank the generator. That should get the genny cranking.
      Then figure out why your house batteries are dead. Check all connections on the (2) 6v battery sets, and check your grounds too. (I recently had a house battery cable break, so I had to remake the end of the cable to connect to the 6v battery.)

      I tried combining the battery banks. No help. Need to do some more troubleshooting. Thanks for the help
