Good video, informative and beautiful to watch this great aquarium set up. So refreshing to see fronts not dumped into mbuna or hap tanks. Also, your English is excellent, easy to understand.
a very good video. I have 9 Blue Moba in a 4ft tank. they are very blue and stunning. A blue light helps but these look good under any light. I did keep 4 ordinary Fronts in a community tank but they weren't happy, i didn't realise then they only like meat or fish
How old is the tank and the fish ? Such a beautiful tank and fish to having them surely need a lot of efforts. By theSway with the video would like to know more info about the visual tank maintenance .Thanks for the beautiful post.
I am from Malaysia (Southeast Asia), and it is not easy to get this blue zaire. Neighbouring countries like Thailand and Singapore have a lot of imports but not in Malaysia. How I admire a tank of deep blue.
Can you mix different frontosa species in the same tank? I have two male Mikula now, can I add Moba or kigoma in the tank? Also, should I add male or female?
Lame, stick to doing that. Clearly you don't even appreciate the fish! The prestige of a Zaire over the others (assuming you have Burundi as you refer to them as common) is a privilege held only by those who actually value the quality of their fish. Most people keeping Zaire have Wild Caught or F1 where as I would assume you have rubbish inbred with mooning on their stripes! Also banking that you got them from a LFS not WC breeder! Get out of here scrub.
No you can't. In my 450gal tank I have 15 blue zaire mobas and 1 burundi (white & black) under AquaIllumination Hydra 52 HD+ lights and the mobas are really blue whereas the burundi is still black & white.
New Life Spectrum Cichlid Thera A Formula, or if you can get it New Era Red is a better option as you can mould the pellets into a larger shape. If you are feeding New Era you don't need anything else for them at all, but it is a bit pricy for the average fish keeper.
3ft tank is too small for even one mature Frontosa. I wouldn't keep a pair in less than a 5ft tank, 6ft or longer would be best for a small colony of 5 Frontosa. These fish get big.

I love Fontosas...I have one 8 inch and wish it was possible to have multiple but my 150g can't house many.
Dont worry you can have a beautiful group in your 150g if its 6' long :)

I have looking for somewhere to buy these in the Eastern United States. I have had Burundi Frontosas for years and I would like to buy some of these.

What is the size of the largest male? He looks extraordinary large.
Based on the length of the tank probably 30-35cm.
can you keep these with malawi fishes ?
can you keep these in a five foot tank
what kind of light u have for ur tank??

Heyyyy that’s my name
Actinic blue globes will bring out the blues in the fish
Best food for 3 inches juvenile blue Zaire pls!

Please use standard US measurements no one understand the metric system
i hear arnold swatz
I could never grow plants with Moba. They would destroy them
ive got some for sale in england
Way too much food in one go I don't feed mine that much in a week!
😁
With the bluest lighting.... This is not natural colour!
I have the same frontosa cichlide fish in my aquarium and they have eggs now
benthochromis tricoti
Sir frontosa fish stay with green terror, firemouth and sevram fish in same tank 3ft
No
How many frontosa pair stay in 3 ft tank. .. . . .. . And which fish stay with this
+Himadri Das this fish could stay with other Africans from the same lake. And you may be able to keep a very small group (4) in a 3ft
+Himadri Das not permanent though
