  • I’ve Gained Weight, Here’s How I’m Dealing With It!
Weight gain in general is hard, but especially while trying to recover from an eating disorder. This weight gain has been a long time coming (about 5 months), but here we are. I am now at my diagnosis weight, so there is still a long way to go, but I can already feel my mind and body healing!
So to see what I eat over two days in anorexia recover and to hear me chat about weigh gain coping strategies with my Mum, this is the video for you!
Please remember what YOU and I eat everyday will be different and that's okay! Everyone is on different food paths and as long as we respect one another and support each other then that's okay!
Your food journey may look similar or very different to mine. And by no means am I suggesting people should eat like me. I just like watching these videos and want to share as much of my recovery journey with you (and that includes what I eat!)
I hope you enjoyed this video and found it interesting to see what I eat in a day in ED recovery. Stay up to date with my daily like on Instagram @jesstathem.
And thank you for watching, your support means so much and keeps me going! RECOVERY WILL WIN!
If you have any questions or suggestions for me, comment them below!
This space is one I created where we can support one another and chat openly. I wanted to show my full recovery journey (the good, bad & ugly) in an attempt to educate and breakdown the stigma surrounding mental illness and eating disorders.
So, whether you are going through something similar, want to find out more or are just watching for entertainment - I hope you enjoy and take something away from watching.
Subscribe to follow my journey and I hope this video in some way helps you or someone close to you.

You are so lovely. Watched this while I ate my night snack- thank you for being so honest, calm and insightful. Felt very grounding to watch, and sorta like I have a recovery buddy. Your mama is right; grateful for her words and wisdom. Hope you keep gaining health, presence, strength, mindfulness and peace. :)

Exercise will interfere with your recovery. It puts stress on your body. And what your body needs now is rest to heal. You will have a lifetime of opportunity to move for joy once you're fully recovered.

I was told by my doctors to stop exercising as soon as I was diagnosed, so I haven’t since March. The only physical activity I do is go on slow walks or do yoga every so often. I struggled with exercise obsession, so for me to break the habit, I had to stop.
