His Opinion About Men Is CRAZY - Hry
Masculinity used to be something everyone was proud of. Now it’s something that people shame you for.
Not for long.
It seems to be changing!!
The world is crashing down and burning and only getting worse each day that passes by 🤠
Nah it’s more of a damned if you do damned if you don’t situation. If you have masculinity the chronically online Twitter users will spam telling you to kys but if you don’t have masculinity, “SIGMA MIKE NO WOKE TRUMP FOREVER” will come to your house and threaten you with his 6 shotguns.
It's pathetic you don't see the full artistic image on why people want to kill masculinity
Fax.💀
I may not be a christian, but I highly respect cowboy hat guy for using his faith for good. we need more pople like that in the world
Yeah same. I don't believe in God but I feel like if his relationship with God gives him a guideline to follow, so be it. Everyone should be allowed to have their own beliefs
i hate this commet becuse it goes to show that zealots end up as the thing peapole think are all christian
ON GOD
Recently, I went to a friend of my mom's (she's a sweet old lady) who showed me some old black-and-white pictures of a bunch of young men, and they all radiated this masculine strength and pride - not in the arrogant macho way, more in the impressive, attractive way. It made me realize that a lot of men today don't radiate that same strength and power. And this video reminded me why: society is stifling masculine strength. Masculinity, to me, screams "protector", since if I was in the presence of someone like that, as a woman, I would feel safe and protected. That doesn't mean you have to be tough all the time - you can be vulnerable with those you trust and care about - but I agree that today, some men are just too damn sensitive.
I love how cowboy hat says something wholesome and then the guy immediately shifts the topic back to toxic masculinity
Bro didn’t wanna talk about Jesus 😭
nobody wanted to talk about religion, but the guy kept bringing it up because he based his views on it. dude seems pretty based imo
@@themanwhospins because they don’t like how Christianity defines masculinity as being humble, being willing to sacrifice oneself for your family and being a provider and protector, because everyone likes to say “Christianity = toxic masculinity”
@@themanwhospins I can’t tell what you’re talking about are you just saying based or do you mean “biased”. The whole conversation was about sharing your views on it and cowboy hat is very religious so all he did was share his views, it’s just that nobody else was as religious as him so him talking about the Bible was perfectly fine and he didn’t have to change anything about what he was saying at all.
@@reconjosh1517 first time i said based i meant it cuz he had his views founded on religion. second time i said based is because i thought it was cool he's someone who tries to stick to the Bible.

he's bringing religion into something which is completely irrelevant
TonyIs NotDead Possibly irrelevant in your opinion, but I strongly agree with the stance that religion, Christianity specifically, goes hand in hand with being a strong, loving, good, and faithful man. I respect your stance nonetheless and hope you have an absolutely fantastic rest of your day.
The comment on jokes 11 minutes into the video is too true. I've had to erase any sense of humor or personality I had in the workplace because I was offending too many coworkers and offending the people above me (even when the jokes have nothing to do with race, gender, disability, religion or anything else that is obviously a sensitive topic). It's so difficult managing social interactions these days.
so real
You can't even talk without someone misunderstanding what you say.
"Have you seen that new marvel film? That sh*t's really bad! I don't recommend!"
"How dare you insult my comfort character? How can you be so abusive and evil towards anyone? You are a monster!"
This above might be an interaction that may have took place somewhere in America.
oof, can somewhat relate.
real
On top of that, you run the risk of sexual harrassment charges for saying you like someones shoes. Society is devolving further and further into an antisocial species given we're demonizing the things that bring us closer
Dang people keep cutting out the cowboy guy just because of his beliefs. Let the Cowboy guy cook.
the conversation should be objective. not everyone is a god worshipping religious person, so his points that are based in his religion are completely pointless
@@tonyisnotdead You say the same for people who use their emotions as an argument right?
@@yuri-sama.questionmark Obviously he doesn't, there is no point in arguing with him
Well, its not really that he cant base his view of masculinity in his religion, but it wont be applicable for most people, so it’s kind of useless for discourse.
@@walter7787 Yeah i think this is most reasonable . But if they let the non binary person speak out their views, why not the Cowboy guy as well?

Masculinity, I find, is more about being "strong, supportive, cool, etc," but isn't something you HAVE to be. It can be part of you as a being, or you can forgo it. You don't need to be one way or the other, but you can choose to be masculine. Also, the definition should include all aformentioned things, but it shouldn't be so fragile that being flamboyant or experssive ruins your masculinity. It should not be a box, but it should have criteria.

I agree a lot with the gay guy(not Griffin, he's the problem), especially about when you come from a broken home, you do really feel the lack, and understand the importance of these roles all the more. It's sad that I immediately assumed that by his demeanor, he'd be unreasonable. But, it just goes to show how the media representation of gay people isn't actually how most gay people think or feel. The online LGBT community is very different from the average gay or lesbian person just living a normal life, and it's easy to forget that.

I feel bad for men who feel like they're gonna get judged and shamed for acting a certain way cuz of what society views men should be like. If you're not masculine in the sense of being a leader, confident, strong build, bangs lots of women, etc, that doesn't make you any less of a man. I wish we could all agree on one definition that we're all satisfied with, not where a bunch of people say "oh you're not a man then". The definition of masculinity has changed so much and now I've seen it become toxic as hell, which isn't what it should be. Like that one guy said, masculinity should just be about being a good guy. Not this toxic alpha male shit.
👍Well Said
this whole "nonbinary" thing just doesnt work out anyways. you want to get rid of gender roles, but then clearly say "im not male or female.". doesnt really work out in an argument, does it?

as someone also named griffin, we don’t claim him.
I think that the only reason that Andrew Tate became popular in the first place was that there really wasn't anyone else around for the Internet to rally behind. Sure, there are other excellent pro-masculine influence out there, but Andrew Tate was the one who generated the most controversy, and controversy is what usually cements your place on the Internet, at least for the time being.
The thing with Tate was that at first glance some things he said were actually good advice to young boys which is why he became popular in the first place. Then he had to start preaching about his twisted views and the things he did came out but the young boys and men, who never had that kind of person to look up to, thought that since Tate said so great things that everything he says is good and true. That's how he even got so popular because by the time the things he did came out he had already build a following of people who would sacrafice anything to protect Tate because they thought Tate is the only one they can trust in. Basically brainwashed
@@-w-377 Yeah totally. I do think that it checks off a lot of boxes for cult behavior.
10:30 hella true and although I'm only a teen and I have stupid humor but I've made "edgy" jokes that are barley even bad but people say that someone might get offended so I cant even say a joke. or if your talking about a wide known topic a bunch of people might start whining if you speak your true thoughts and it makes it hard to even have a conversation without people trying to silence you since its "offensive"
Barley
im 14 and i have to worry about making jokes with the homies on the walk home, i go to a school with 1500 people so there are a lot of fucking people on the sidewalk, one day i tell a joke (something about me being transphobic) and some blue haired goth mf walks up to me and says "you know, my freind is trans and thats not very nice", i stopped waling and me and my group of homies all stared at her for a good 30 seconds with that "does it look like i give a single shit" stare.
whenever i hear someone talk about how they cry all the time i just dont get it. Its rare for me to cry once in a year and thats not from a "You gotta appear tough" toxic masculinity perspective but from just how nothing is really extreme enough to provoke that reaction. Like if i stub my toe or i get a bad grade on a test im going to be sad or hurt but that doesn't mean i need to cry about it. One of my distant friends got teary eyed over an amazing world of gumball clip of the boys growing up from richard perspective. Dont get me wrong, its definitely sad to watch but im not going to curl into a ball to cry myself to sleep like she did.

Masculinity is not FOR men it can be for anyone but men usually are supposed to be the masculine ones because it's being a protector, leader, and provider. The first version of masculinity was when the men went to hunt while women gathered vegetables. Masculinity is sacrificing yourself for the people around you and being an icon for everyone to follow. Now that's what it should be but some people say they are masculine, when really they are taking advantage of people and disrespecting them, and now people think masculinity is something bad when it's not making it hard to figure what masculinity is. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk and I hope all of you have a wonderful day.
I like a man that can balance feminine and masculine. A man that can listen and isn't afraid to express his emotions, in a healthy way, while at the same time, has no problem being dominant. Taking the charge while also be comfortable with his feminine side (anything that is considered to be feminine), being mature independent, confident, strong minded, isn't a coward, responsible but also a romantic, talk things out accordingly, no insecurity. If he has insecurity, he acknowledges it and doesn't let it hinder himself or his soul. Knows how to keep his woman pleased and his children on the right path.
I described my boyfriend. I described what most straight women want in a man. Most men, from what I've seen, haven't grasped that balance yet.

I am by no means an authority on the topic of masculinity or what it means to be a man. I don't have a whole lot of valuable input on that topic. What I do notice nowadays, which really annoys me, is that people try to act like there is no difference between being a man and a woman. Like there are no things that men are inherently better at or enjoy more than women and vice versa. Sure there are exceptions, but it's delusional that people try to deny these differences. There's a reason why men dominate certain professions and women dominate others.
this was actually an interesting topic, definitely somethings that were mentioned i question myself at some point

I feel I relate most to the idea of masculinity being sort of being a good man for your loved ones and also being yourself. Like to be a man I feel like you should be strong and dependable and humble but there are different ways of going about it that isn't necessarily right or wrong, like how one guy can get his masculinity from his dad and one guy from God. Like I think there are some core ideas of masculinity but you can personalize it, as long as you stick to the core basics of it, like idc if a dude is girly or likes x and y but he has to be someone you can know will be trustworthy and strong
Listed to this while working out 😂
Bro acheeto vids hit different when it’s on feminism or masculinity
Respect for anyone in the service 👏
"Waste no more time arguing what a good man should be. Be one." Marcus Aurelius
Ok so this guy literally said
"yeah you don't like that you lose that one dollar but the woman don't like being murdered"
Like, dude, I guess statistically a woman is more likely to be murdered than a man, but what are even the chances of it happening to either in the first place? What are the chances that a murderer is present, then what are the chances that they are going to kill somebody the night, then what are the chances that they pick you? Woman or not, you're not just gonna get randomly murdered after a first date.
And it's funny how he is TOTALLY serious about this. Like, this is as big of a problem to him as gun violence against children.
Actually, men are much more likely to be murdered statistically. An estimated 80 percent of homicide victims are men. So as a man, you are much more likely to be murdered on any given day. However, women are more likely to become victims of domestic violence, which is likely where this whole “women are being murdered” thing comes from. 90 percent of murderers are also male, which means heterosexual women ARE more likely to be murdered by their date, but it’s still very unlikely.
I think social media is the reason for this. While no social media isn't inherintly a bad thing it can destroy what was good enough as it is.
For example:
Social media has been a safe space for minorities to find like minded people and to create a sort of "you aren't alone" feeling for those who need it.
On the other hand social media has gotten to the point where everything ever in the history of people is deconstructed and looked into way too deep. It's like social media is creating more fears than it is helping others. People are scared of everything these days because there is so much they have to pay attention to to not offend the wrong person. A lot of times the people who get so scared then as a result dont leave their house often out of fesr of getting attacked just for their existence or have to fear being accused of things without even meaning to do something wrong. It's like there is no right way to do things anymore that isn't just hiding in your own home forever. And the worst part about this are that some fears aren't even true.
Some people are even so addicted to being the victim and to be scared of things that they create false fears and preach them to the world in hopes to scare others into believing this is how it really is. It is really hard to even tell what's a real fear and what's just mostly made up and won't happen.
And drawing the line between what's actually okay behaviour and what is bad behaviour is getting so weirdly distorted that no one even knows where to start or to stop. So everyone is just doing what they want or they completly shut themself away from reality to not fall victim to any of the fears.
