You may not know what I'm getting at here since this is being answered months later but last year hp tuners cracked the encryption to the global b computer and have been lining I up with their system for compatible tuning it maybe a minute before we can finally start tuning the 24's the updated super duty is now deletable you will have to send the ecm In but it is possible now I would wait it shouldn't be long

Since you didn’t pull the cover all the way off, could you have just sucked the fluid from the fill hole with a pump?
they use pump these days. no need for a separate drain plug
Should have installed an aftermarket diff cover. Drain plug problem solved going forward. I know you said you rushed the job.

Could we not just drill a new drain hole and tap it and run your own bolt?
Do you when there will be tuning/delete available for the 24s?
