I don't understand the red card. If the handball was intentionally then maybe but it didn't seem to be.

Colorado should have scored more. Terrible finishing. And what is going on with the Caps the last few games. Flat. Disorganized. Wrong formations. Defensive lapses. Go figure. They were off to such a great start to the season.

Red card not controversial. Used handling to deny a goal. Doesn’t matter if it’s intentional or not.
You could argue it's the kind of pen that shouldn't be called, but under current rules always is. People have no idea what "natural" position means. It does not mean straight down by your side.
Take it from someone who was ACTUALLY there- YES, a DOGSO handball= red+PK. Dems da rules. Replay does no justice, BUT- PIDS SHOULD have won at LEAST 4-0. We'll take the W either way.
With the man advantage, the Rapids should've finished this one much earlier. Too many lost chances!!

I was right behind the net for that play. It was pretty clear as day. There was also a clear hand ball for a play prior to that.
Hand outstretched at shoulder height or above is not going to be natural in IFAB/FIFA's opinion - and that's how they instruct referees to call it. Defender took a last-ditch risk by sliding, and got unlucky that the ball struck his hand.
