Absolutely robbery. Vancouver handball was intentional and stopped an attack - no VAR no pen, Nouhou accidentally pulls his arm while sliding - pen. Referee was making the worst decisions ever.
When was the Vancouver handball? Iâm a sounders supporter, but Iâm able to put myself in any other teams position. I would, unfortunately, say that that was a hand ball on Nouhou.
Iâm just saying if the roles were reversed Iâd expect the var to reward a pen if it was in the sounders benefit.
As an extension: if Nouhpu didnât extend his arm and just put his arm in front of his face to defend being smashed in the face, he wouldnât have been charged with a foul imo.

The hand ball from nouhou was a penalty đŻ he stopped a shot with his hand thereâs no way his arm was in a normal position. But I will say I am a whitecaps fan and the handball that stopped Jordan morris header in my opinion was also a penalty the only way I see the ref calling it off is because of the light push against Ahmed but I donât think thatâs why the ref decided to call it off. GG sounders.
It wasnât pretty but a point is a point that Iâll happily take. Was fortunate to be at the game too so it was fun being at the game with the Southsiders having a ton of fun!
MLS skipping the replay of Morris' header at 79:26? Does MLS normally scrub evidence of potentially bad calls by the ref? Seemed like a clear Chicken wing handball in the box. i saw 2 other angles where his arm was clearly extended from the body. Why didn't VAR look at it? Really not happy with this ref

For me, this might be the straw the broke the camel's back. I don't know how I'm still watching MLS with the awful, biased officiating over the past several years, so this might just do it. This isn't humans making errors on the field--this is either madly incompetent or intentional poor officiating, on a regular basis. It ruins the integrity and joy of the game!
I don't know what you're supposed to do when sliding... that's not a handball, ref clearing is into sports betting these days.
As a former defender, I get it. But this is the textbook definition of "making yourself bigger". Clear pen with the way the rules are written.

Is Seattle attendance falling off? They used to have a solid wall of green in the stands, now not so much. It is a shame if interest there is dropping. Maybe the Messi league Soccer (MLS) needs to make sure Messi plays in every stadium every season.
I don't know about the attendance specifically. But, personally I am more disconnected with the Sounders than ever before. I'm a Sounders fan. I don't give a damn about Messi. All these Messi fans will leave MLS when Messi leaves in a couple of years and I really believe that MLS will have alienated a large portion of its previous fan base when that happens. For now, I refuse to pay to watch my local team on television. I was able to get free MLS Pass last year through T-Mobile but I won't be buying into this scheme. It is NOT good for sports. I'm not down with any sport that believes it should only be enjoyed by wealthy people and to hell with those less fortunate. Could I afford MLS Season Pass? Sure. But I'll still never do it. I know a large number of Sounders fans who feel the same way. CZcams is now where I watch the Sounders. It sucks.

Thats not a handball this absurd like come on ref that didn't hit his hand, wrist or elbow I looked at that like 5 times it looked like it hit his shoulder in my eyes which isn't usually considered a handball

as one of the fans who made the trek to watch the game in seattle that was one of the most dreadful and undeserved draws i've ever had the pleasure of watching but we'll take it
Good call by var, poor slide tackle attempt. Came in hard with is arm up and away from his body and before he could tuck it back in the ball struck it. Defender is coming in at such fast pace and the shot is struck with great power making that such a difficult bang bang play in real time for the ref to call. Thats why they put in VAR.
They also have VAR for checking any kinda handballs....like the vancover one but I guess its just whatever the ref feels like right?
Their aren't many that think the Nouhou handball wasn't a handball.....it was. However the vancover handball was just as bad and VAR should be calling that out too. We just want consistency from the refs

Loving that the Flounders are down in the dumps right row. The last thing I'd want to see is their usual 'flip the switch' routine in the second half of the season and making the playoffs because I don't want them hoisting another MLS Cup......ever.
