After watching this, I ran outside and eagerly lifted the hood of my old 71 K5 that's been sitting in the yard. Alas... the turbo fairy did NOT visit mine.

Now I must say.....that from 67-72, GMC and achevy trucks are my favorite trucks, now in now way would I let that fine Chevy truck of your set there as long as it did. Man I would love to own your own truck. I'm glad to see your doing something with it. Thats a really nice truck. It looks to be a 70-71, I couldn't see the grill of it. I was to busy sneezing for the dust on it. No but really, you have a real jewl there my friend. Thank you for putting on video.

You work on weird things like the 2cv but you let this lovely truck languish. Glad you have it running again. It wants to work. It would tell you that if it could speak.

I think it is also funny how people applaud you like you rescued this truck from someone who had neglected it. I guess that is kinda true but when it is you who let it sit out there for all those years, You certainly don't deserve a cookie for anything.

I agree with drift king.Popping the hood was a shocker. Why the hell would you neglect this machine for 7 years? It's so cool,even without the extra help under the hood. Even though it's a little rough around the edges,that is a very nice truck.
'72 chevy truck! When GM was still putting out some decent products. Nice change of pace for vehicle type. How many other as yet unknown vehicles do you still have stashed around? Am curious to see what role this truck will play in future vids.

My 86Z 28 that I just sold today sat for four years the body didn’t fare as well as the Cheyenne did but the old girl did start up shot a few flames out of the top of the carburetor but once she settled down she was ready to go. I was saving the card to give to my first son but since I’m 31 and still don’t have any children and I already just bought a new Jeep and I have an old CLK and of course my grand national I just didn’t have room for her anymore. It was my first sports car I bought it from my cousins neighbor home my cousin sold it to. When it was my cousins he and I stripped it down to the bare metal with the aircraft remover put a new 383 stroker motor in it a new clutch for the five speed he drove it for a few years then sold it to his neighbor who then sold it to me two years later after it had been in a high-speed police chase after it was stolen. I put 373 gears in it for a brand new Perelli‘s a new tea top because one leaked. And a fiberglass Cowell hood. When the guy came to take her away today I almost had to hold back tears. Seeing your old girl sit for seven years and start up so nicely especially on today made me feel really nice great video I will be subscribing. Sorry for the essay

I would rather have that, than a brand new one these days. AS long as these older V8 vehicles dont have too much rust people should keep the for a lifetime. Im still driving my 1989 cadillac brougham, which has the all cast iron V8 oldsmobile V8 and carburetor and even has the mechanical fuel pump.
Blow through Holley - wow. But it makes sense as the vent tubes are within the pressure zone. How much boost are you running ? The float bowl screws are under a lot of tension huh ?...LOL Love it !
