- Hello!!!!!! This is a first glimpse of some of my authentic Arts & Crafts era jewelry! I do plan on at least 4 or 5 more "show & tell" episodes! I hope this gives you all an idea about what Arts & Crafts looks like and some current values. Focused on American & handmade! Sterling silver, gemstones, coral, opal, turquoise, lapis, agate, amethyst, garnet, moonstone and more!!!! Some enameled pieces too. The Arts and Crafts movement is part of the reason I'm still able to be a silversmith and jeweler today. I'm grateful for this movement & the amazing artisans that took a stand against the "machine age" (and impending Art Deco movement). Please enjoy this video!!!! #antique #jewelry #collection
You could do a hundred videos on this time period and I wouldn’t get tired of them!
Awe!!!!!! Thank you!!!!!!!!!
You are an absolute gem, Jason. I'm 77 years old and I love your videos. You make learning so enjoyable. Hugs from Australia.
Thank you so much 💓
Thank you sooooooo much for covering Arts and Crafts!! My second favorite time period for jewelry. ❤️
Love ya Thea 💜
Jason, what a stunning collection you’ve shown us! I wish the video would last for hours! Thank you so much for sharing and educating us.
Hi, Jason and Jewelry lovers! What an excellent collection of such talented designers' unique pieces of jewelry. Thank you for all your videos. Thank you also for saving the beauty of the jewelry from the past and creating new jewelry for our future with your creativity. I love you Too! ❤
Hi Jason, I enjoyed this video so much and I love each and every piece of this jewelry, beautiful nature & natrual ❤🌟❤
The gorgeous Georg Jensen hallmark was from 1915-1930, according to Google images. You’re SO GOOD, Jason!! 😊💛
Look how close! Lol
Thank you so much for the information. I truly enjoyed learning about the arts and craft era. Thank you again for taking your time out of your busy life to help others.
Thank you for watching and supporting 🙏
I would say a lot of time and love go into the arts and craft pieces. Beautiful designs. Appreciate you explaining the differences and similarities between and overlapping in the movements. Thanks Jason. Love you!
I sure love all those rings
Hi lovely Jason collector of lovely things! I really appreciate you sharing your knowledge and pieces.
I have loved Arts & Crafts ANYTHING for so long and was thrilled to see you doing a great explanation of the style and construction of various pieces. I would love to see the further contrast between English/French pieces. OMG love love love.
Thank you so much 💓
Thank you Jason! You have changed the way i wear my jewelry. It’s as if you have given me permission ( just by wearing your fabulous pieces and training my eye on workmanship and detail ) to revel in my adoration of ornamentation!
Thank you so much! You made my night!!! 🥰🥰🥰
I am really loving the arts and crafts handmade silver pieces today. I am looking forward to looking at craft and design at a local estate sale tomorrow. Wish me luck and use of what I am learning from my friend Jason!
Steve, all the best!!!! I'm right there with you!!!!! 🤜🤛
Hi Jason, I'm watching on Friday night in Queensland. Looking at your moonstone bracelet and seeing the detail and unity in the setting is hard to believe it's hand made. The quality of your collection is stunning. I love Sterling silver. This video has taught me so much about American arts and crafts. I have done stone cutting and tried silver smithing, it's harder than people think. Thanks so much for your time and efforts in producing this wonderful video. ❤ ❤ from Sue 😊
Thank you Sue! ♥️
I’m learning so much as I drool over your beautiful collections!😂 Thank you so much!❤
I love the amethyst ring (three stones), amazing 🥰🌸🌼🌸Maria
Thank you Maria
I’m in love with the two birds brooch. That’s so adorable, love it 💗
Many thanks to you, Jason, for the beautiful and educational video! Your knowledge and your collection are enormous! Love to wach and listen you! From Ukraine ❤.
The round brooch is from Latvia. There are the words from the song over the tree - "Whom do you plant the tree..."
❤❤❤thanks for the help❤❤❤
Again, fabulous fabulous collection!
What on earth! Beautiful! Thanks for sharing!
Back pain sucks big time cuz. Once again you bring beautiful jewellery pieces but your knowledge is awesome, thank you I’ve learnt quite a lot today. Love and hugs 🙏❤️🤗🌟
The best school I ever went to and no test! I love it all, but especially the enamel pieces ❤❤❤
😂😂😂❤❤❤❤❤
That was really interesting Jason! What beautiful pieces you showed. I really enjoyed the video. Thanks so much!
Thank you so much!!!
Hello Jason, I'm Gaga over arts and crafts, give me more 😍
Thank you for sharing your knowledge. That is what I subscribed for. I hate it when people show off and don’t teach you anything. I am very intentional about who I subscribe to for those reasons. Keep up the good work.
Thank you so much. I'm doing my best!!! ❤❤❤
Amazing jewelry explained in an amazing way.
Thank you so much!!!!
Jason you got me curious. So its Latvian folk song from the year 1933. Margariete Korate. Translated to Oaks, twigs, which you grow in the Valley. Thats what I found.
Thank you for the help ❤
You did better than I. Thanks for finding out. The best I could find is "Why do you grow plants?" Now I want to hear the song :)
I know that you plan to do similar videos in the future. Just wanted to reinforce my enthusiasm for your plan❤
It's just a lot to keep up with the demands of everyday life and getting videos done. I do my best 💖
Hi Jason, Thanks so much for sharing your arts & crafts jewelry. Love your collection of rings. Your getting more relaxed in your videos. I am an artist but on canvas. I also love to collect vintage jewelry and things. I also love to take older wood things and re-purpose and give it new life with paint. My collection of jewelry is nothing like yours and Tanya’s lol 😆 But love watching and learning so much from you all. I love to hunt for the vintage jewelry. I think I will try to sell on Poshmark first. Sending hugs 🍻❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
❤❤❤❤❤❤Irene ❤❤❤❤❤
I've always wondered exactly what defined any particular piece as from the "Arts and Crafts" period! As always, I really learned so much from you in this video so thank you once again for that, Jason! This is just one of so many reasons I watch every single video, every short reel, and study every photo you post on your community page as well. I've even started studying your eBay posts too, just to look at descriptions, learn current resellers prices and to learn what things are trending, and like you are always telling us to do, I do all these things while I 'pay extra attention to the details in the craftsmanship'! I'm hoping to take a leap sometime soon into collecting for resale but right now I'm just waiting for my "ship to come in" 😊
Lisa ♥️♥️♥️. Thank you so much. I always look forward to your comments 💖🙏💜
What a fun and beautiful way to learn about history through artistry. Thank you Jason for being so generous with your knowledge and experience ... always an uplifting treat to my day. You're a gem! 🍁🌴🥀
Thank you so much 💓

Jason! Those rings at TS 32:00 ish. Omg! Do share!!! 😂
Jason, I've suffered off and on for years with my lower back causing problems. Until I started aquatic exercising and I've never had an issue with my back since.Working out in the water I can't say enough good about it and highly recommend it.❤
Yes Susan. Mine is way better than years ago. Just reminds me every once in a while! Thank u my friend 🧡
Back pain sucks. Take your time, no apologies necessary. Anyone in a rush can always use 2X to watch.
Thank you ♥️
Oh interesting. I just started the video and when you said “American Arts & Crafts” I kinda perked up because everything I know is English/UK based.
There’s TONS of free UK content & information that’s available to us.
I would think, “I’m American and I don’t know anything about American antique history, etc. just the British stuff.”
So thank you for acknowledging the difference and talking about it for us all.
(And I find it funny how in America we’ll call things Victorian, but I’ll go back further and date things Georgian since it’s easier for me and should I even bother learning the American period dates?😅)
Absolutely gorgeous brooches and rings, wow!! ❤❤❤
Jason, well done! Ok.. thank you internet for quick research but I still LOVE my books too in my studio for research and their beauty on my shelves! I would love to see how you store or display your collections.
❤❤❤Maureen ❤❤❤
Thank you so much for all that fabulous info on arts and crafts, I need to delve into my collection to see if I've missed any! People here in the UK also get hung up on art nouveau and deco and you have clarified it for me. Love the ginko set, amazing!
Thank you Heather ♥️
Love love love arts and crafts
Enjoy the lesson
Enjoy hand crafted
Many thanks
Hi Jason, the brooch is a folk song German or Latvian , oh curly oak tree
Thank you
Hi Jason 😊
Wow! TS 14:17 I’m in love! I always fall for the lesser than 925 jewelry! Maybe it’s the color? I don’t know! I just know the love I feel. lol

Thank you very much, Jason! Please, continue to show us your wonderful Art and Craft collection! I like hand crafted jewelry and I have many pieces of silver jewelry. I will look closer and perhaps I will find some pieces from this period of time with your help from your videos! Sorry for my English.😊❤
❤❤❤thank you ❤❤❤
The round, big, silver oak tree brooch - ”o soliti semsariti kam tu augi lejina’ - is from Latvian folkore.
The full text is here:
Oak trees, twigs, why are you growing in the valley?
The bees ran over you, the birds rode by.
Daughters broke your branches, standing on the hill.
Break the daughters that can be broken, not broken in the end.
Let there be a top where the birds can roost.
The gilded wings of a nightingale flew there.
It wasn't a nightingale, it was my bride.
Thank you! ♥️
Hi Jason loving the video, Dorrie Nossiter maybe?
That's it Cullum!!!!!! It was on the tip of my tongue!!!! Ugghhhhhh!!!!! 🥰🥰🥰
Maggie❤❤hello Jason I like your videos
Raindrops…..learned yet another new lesson from my favorite teacher 👍🏾
Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and collection with us. Oh my, that Georg Jensen pendant is to die for! 😍😍😍
👋Hello, Jason! Looking forward to watching this video! 😊
Thanks so much for putting this together. I walk away from this video well knowing there is still much to learn, but given the beauty of these pieces, it seems a worthy endeavor.
Loads more to cover. And I will! Thank you James
❤❤❤
I need to see more videos. I'm just not clear on what makes some of these pieces Arts and Crafts and not Art Nouveau. Is it the shape and not the time period? Do some more Art Nouveau videos. I absolutely love both time periods.
As I said, I will have to do 4 or more videos.... at least I thought I said it lol... 😅♥️
Breathless over your collection every time! Thank you for letting us in🍇🌿Bless you💖
Wow... That first pendant is fabulous!! I love deco art but I can now totally see why you kind of resent it for overshadowing the arts and crafts era. Always learning from you, Jason (and drooling)... 🤩😍🤩😍🤩🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰😘... and I just adore all the love you randomly give us throughout your videos... 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰😘
You guardian of beauty, history and pure scintillating magic🌙⭐️✨I love you sweet teacher💋
I love you Lisa! A lot!!!!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
@@jasonadams8633 smooches galore!💋
Love the colors in the enameled floral tulip brooch...it shoots out of the pot like a 🎆 georgous.

Thank you Tamsin 💙💙💙
I learned a lot about Arts and Crafts which I'm not familiar with. Now I'm intrigued and look forward to more videos about this style.
Oh Jason…tonight you may have turned my head with the most simplified, yet most naturalistic, harmonic curves to be found. There are unique and distinct forms from the various examples that exemplify the culture from which they sprang. I have been enamoured of the Arts And Crafts styles in all mediums since I began doing a parure set for each of the Elements. Each of the 4 sets contained a mix of 3 stones, and metals that complemented each other, and carried on their Elemental components smoothly .
The colours of gems, were chosen less for their value, and more for their mood and expression of the of the materials. They taught me a lot about the style, and its deceptive simplicity. I prefer to build a piece from marrying its parts together, than doing wax casting, and that preference came from my trying to capture the true feeling of this transitionary style that fit between Art Nouveau and Art Deco, yet had its own strong design aesthetic. As periods of design in jewellery go, its duration was short, but aspects could be found in Art Nouveau and Art Deco to greater or lesser degrees throughout the durations of both.
I can only imagine your entire collection, as these few pieces are stunning in the choice of materials and craftsmanship. Often sellers don’t know what they have, and undervalue them because they use unexpected materials, like horn, rock crystal, mother of pearl, and agate, whatever feeds the context of the piece. Thank you very much for discussing this amazing style that had held me in thrall for so many years this brightens my day more than you know, and you inspire me to get my little studio set up again and running. The creative urges are rising in me, like the sap in the trees, and I need to make things.
Thank you, for the love, inspiration, and understanding, you have been so kind to me as my life took a sharp turn I am still assimilating. I am getting there…and I feel him pushing me to pick up my creative arts again. I was going to wait until I had all the legal paperwork and bureaucracy completed…but I need to start before, it has always been able lift me out of a dark and painful place before I could get stuck there. I love you and Jeremy, for the honesty of your emotions, and for loving me, and I always will. I hear your happy laughter often, and it lights me up.🌹🕯️🌈❤️🖤🇨🇦
Thank you so much for the beautiful message. I really love that you take so much time for me!!!!! TAMARA....YOU ARE A BLESSING IN MY LIFE. . IM SO GLAD I FOUND YOU (AGAIN) THIS TIME AROUND ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

So much love your videos. You are such a joy to watch. ❤

My Favorite!!!❤️
Beautiful collection ❤❤❤
Wonderful pieces
You don't like the bug bracelet but the butterfly pendants?
Yes..the butterflies died naturally
Gorgeous pieces!
Hey, hey, Jay, Jay. What's new in the life of Jason
🥰🥰🥰
Very helpful video!
Hello! What are your thoughts on Larimar?
Hi Prissy... I like it! I have a few pieces! I have heard conflicting reports concerning mining....some people say it's not being mined but MOST are saying the mine in the Dominican Republic is still producing. I think it's still being mined from the amount I see at gem shows, plus the price is staying the same.. time will tell. 🩵🩵🩵
What about Art Noveau? Some seem more Art Noveau than arts & crafts to me.
I thought I explained that.....plus I have another 4 or 5 more videos..... did you watch the art Nouveau one. That should help you....
