I think VIX crashed today due to back to back result announcement from HDFC and Reliance. As both are heavyweights, their IVs crashed after result and it affected India VIX to crash.

Due to daily expiry now, the vix of 14/15 will behave like 30-35. This is the change which one has to understand.

@@1955knv expiry is more so the selling taking place in options is different now so it is not possible for vix to go more high now. I think to see vix of 30-35 we will need a big crash.
The premiums will still be too low to account for the risk.. Low Vix is a curse for option sellers.
@@aj9969 as options traders, one has to be flexible with the current market scenario and understand. Markets are now taking a great leap and all the old methods of trading will be taken for a toss with new machine based trading. I m a scalper and follow 1 min chart only for entry exit with strict SL. Waiting for more points and thinking to have a trendy markets nowadays is very difficult.
As per previous alarming video about option trading, I quit and focus on real estate investment and few large cap stocks. Bye bye to intraday trading .
