Lance was just a manipulative person. Even after everything he had was gone and he had nothing to live for, he still did what he did when he had his life. Manipulate and deceive. He wasn't broken. He was 'pure evil' or whatever this is a stupid format.
@@jesseangreen9613 Of course he isn't. I don't think anyone on this show (apart from MAYBE Alpha) is really evil. Every single person on TWD is just trying to survive. And as it's been shown multiple times, they need to do whatever they feel like they need to do in order to do that. Alpha could've done the right thing and left Lydia in Hilltop without confrontation. She could've inducted her people into the Communities to live a better life than a primal pack. But instead, she went to war and paid the price for it. Losing her army, horde, life and daughter's trust/respect in the process (although Lydia never really had either of those for Alpha in the first place).
he literally started at the bottom and tried to progress through the Commonwealth for 10 years to take Pamela's place and build a better, more equal world. The communities were an opportunity but it was all ruined by the (stupid and selfish) actions of Maggie and the group that followed them. Lance was sincere in his speech, Angela Kang confirmed it
