    I love my speed cobra. I have the 310 for practice and the 910 for studio. Thanks for the video!

    What kind of adhesive did you use to get the wood to stick to the beaters?

    how long have you used these pedals? I've been trying to decide between these, dw 9000, and pearl demon drive. Do they get a good sound out of the kick or would I need a trigger?

    What brand of white grease do you use and do you use a spray, from the tube, or something else?

    Have you tried the Tama direct drive pedal yet?

    Hey, is there any way to change the beater angle independently without changing the angle of the footboard and vice versa?

    Heads, muffling, size of the bass drum and its shell material are going to be the major determining factors in the sound of the bass drum.

    Well I think we can all agree that Nick really knows his shit. But lets see and HEAR him play!

    Hello Nick, got my speed cobra yesterday. How do you adjust the pedal height? My left pedal is too low, and when playing it keeps hitting the coil... Thanks in advance have a good day;)

    I can't for the life of me get the beaters exactly the same like how you have it in this video. Every time I try they'll always move back, meaning they'll go off center. Any tips?

      It’s 8 years later now so I’d hope you would’ve figured it by now. If you haven’t then I’d suggest using locktite on the threaded components of the beater and crank on them. The other option would be buying different brand beaters, there’s a lot of different style beaters out there, just gotta keep trying until you find the best fit for you

    For high speed play, like Unearth, you're going to need triggers no matter what pedals you use. I got these speed cobras because they're cheaper than the other two and are just as good, if not better.

      I play for Save Us from the Archon and we're fast AF and I will not trigger ever. It's a crutch; get stronger, get faster, get cleaner.

    • @davidpardy
      @davidpardy Před 5 lety +2

      @@devinthegreig The triggers are only used to give clarity of sound at higher speeds. They don't make you faster. Maybe you should take it up with Francesco Paoli, Derek Roddy, and George Kollias about how they are using crutches :)

      I felt the same way about triggers till I tried them, and bass drum triggers made everyone tighter and easy to stay in time with me!!

    He's Tama's endorser, so he won't recommend you any pedal other than Tama. If you play really fast you will need the trigger naturally, cause without it your sound will be preety hummy. Most drummers mount tama iron cobra beater in pedals to achieve powerful and short sound. They have hard surface, but still they are perfecly weighted. I use DW with cobra beaters, and I feel great with it.
