24 years in the Army. Field grade officer. I had no idea how much more time it took the females to pull off that level of precision in their appearance. We had it so easy as men. Great video.

Love it!!!!! I am Navy and not to demean my sisters, but many of the Sailors do NOT, or even try to do their hair. I have always done my hair the right way as shown in the video. People on the ship would always tell me my hair is so nice and slick, but I always say is part of the uniform and that doing our hair is the least we can do since we are representing. I guess many of the other females do not care, but like you said this says a lot of your character and shows that we care and carry ourselves with pride. I'm not going to lie, it is embarrassing having female Marines on ships and their hair is looking good every day, then you have the other Navy chicks with their hair out of control. Is just sad because their excuse is that they don't teach that in bootcamp. Thank you for taking the time of doing this! What products do you use?
I’m in A school right now and I see a lot of females that have fucked up hair and I feel embarrassed for them whenever a higher up sees their hair

They don’t care anymore because they can wear ponytails lmfaooooo back when I was in the Navy if your bun was jacked up I would stop them where they were and have them fix their buns. If you’re don’t correct them now it looks bad on you as well. One team one fight!!
oh my gosh i could not have said it better, i wear my entire uniform with pride and that includes my bun! Just by looking at hair, i can tell how bad someone wants to be in their uniform! Also those darn ponytails annoy me alot hahaha

@@alfredolopez4621 You can be both latina and hispanic. Latina means you’re from Latin America and Hispanic means your from an Spanish speaking country. Brazilians are Latinos but not Hispanic, and Spanish people are Hispanic but not Latinos.

Honestly you get used to it because you have to wear it 5 sometimes six days a week. It hurt like the first week of boot but now I’m used to it and it doesn’t hurt
I work with a lot of Marines that if they get sick of a bun they cut it too chin length and settle for a bob. I have no preference because both hairstyles look gorgeous

I’m in the Air Force and just learned how to make my bun better. Just my hair is super curly and thick. This is going to take some time 🤣
Back in the old days (80's) when I was in there were not any classes or even the internet. I don't even think the gel existed but I know we had hair spray. I used to put my hair up and just use hair pins and hair spray. My roommate would make sure none of the hair pins showed. My hair never really stayed in place all day and I was always worried about someone with more rank getting on my case especially towards the end of the day. I went to a Bob style haircut because it was too stressful for me to keep all my hair up and in place with no hairpins showing. I really could have used a class like this.

I was in the USAF. And No one had time for what she is demonstrating in Basic Training as a hair style.
Ok this would be really hard for me to do because I am African American for one and I have really thick hair
I’m African American too, I suggest for you to comb out your hair with water and leave in conditioner then start to do the bun
There are a few good videos with African American ladies doing military buns ... there are a lot of ladies of colour in the military and you just have to practice like they did,it is all about the gel and the moisture and thick elastic hair ties in the giant size x
