I have a soft spot for 3 Ninjas. My buddy and I would play it and crack up as kids as the grandpa popping up to egg us on in FMV.
I think that childhood nostalgia is the only excuse for liking it. that’s how i feel about the atari 5200. everyone hates it but it was my first game system so it will always be one of my favorites no matter how bad the controllers are.
I had no idea that Terminator on Sega CD was amazing.
Immediately sought out a play through video on that one after discovering in your vid.
Thanks!
I am curious if it would hold up for a full play through, i had a good time capturing the footage.
Sewer Shark's Full Motion Video was awesome!
I genuinely loved sewer shark. I don’t know how well it aged, but as a kid i felt like video games would never be more real looking!
This is why I have the mega everdrive pro for my model 1 genesis and it supports sega cd without the actual attachment and I’ve never owned a Sega cd and it gives me a chance to experience these rare expensive titles for free without investing money in them and takes up less space and don’t have to worry about clutters especially since I have a lots of retro consoles and they all use flash carts and odes and I’m happy.
Very cool! Watching now = )
Man I owned about half of those games back in the day
I owned shining force, and lunar 1 and 2, but that was about it. I bought popful mail and snatcher way later for way too much money.
Good grief. Collecting today is impossible. I was lucky enough to grow up when this stuff NIB old stock was dirt cheap on eBay so I amassed a huge collection of Sega stuff, but there's no way I could do it today with these prices. Insane.
yeah, it is pretty nuts how much some of these games go for now a days.
I tried going through Popful recently, it was so hard I ended up stopping. One game I regret not beating. I guess I should play the easier Japanese version
I wonder if @teknohed has finished it? He said it was his favorite Sega CD game.
I have not, it is brutally hard, i am about half way across the map, on the forth boss or so.
I also don’t want to finish it as it will mean one less sega CD game out there to play.
So many legendary games for such a short lifespan. It's such a shame that Sega couldn't figure out how to right the ship after the acrimony between the American and Japanese divisions.
Also if any other Sega CD folks remember an SRPG with vampires, werewolves, and demons fighting you'll help a weird memory hole I can't seem to track down. I only rented it once and have never been able to remember the name.
@@Chompingbits dark wizard maybe?
@teknohed I think that totally is it. Now to go load that on my Ambernic
