My biggest gripe with necas is the eyes. Everything else is pretty good.

I really love the sculpt and articulation of the Bandai, but mine has an issue with the tail popping off at the 4th tail segment cause of the stiff ass ball joint. NECA still holds true being my more preferred figure out of these two (mainly because i got a decent figure) and the tail DOESN'T POP OFF WHEN I TRY TO MOVE IT.
Well it does depend on if you get a good figure or a bad figure. Im just leaning more on the NECA because I really prefer the paint and the price isn't all that bad. But if I could I would've got the SH Monsterarts. Also I am wayyyy too late to comment here.
Neca fans can’t defend this figure, shma is clearly the better figure and only lacks in a very small areas. Neca figures have always lacked in articulation and accessories.

By only focusing on NECA for Godzilla, Mothra, and Rodan; I can hopefully justify the purchase of the SH Ghidorra!

It's funny, I VASTLY prefer the Neca '19 as my Godzilla 2014 figure and the SHMA '14 as my 2019 figure.
Also the announcer for the rounds is FAR too loud compared to the rest of the video

i was planning to get the shmonster arts because it can look up all the way but the neca wouldn’t shmonster arts is more expensive so i have to buy the neca one
I personally like the way the NECA looks over the shm version, just because I prefer the dark grey over black. And since there is a $47 price difference, the quality and size should be better for the shm Godzilla. So for me, I think NECA wins, but people have their preferences so, good video :)

Sh is my favorite but the 2019 Godzilla has some holes in the body so that’s why I have the neca

What I don't get holes in mine all the holes from the other figures have holes but mine??? Mabye the luck but the tail on mine falls off sooooooooo ez like it had to be glued
its just how it is, cuz it needs more space to get more articulation for the ball joints
@@arismitrousis3581 its not holes, they are gaps. And they added that for more articulation. The arms have no gaps but that means you cant move the arms that much. Thats why there are big gaps on the figure.
Well, I like to say that the backdrop that came with the neca counts as an accessory so... idk!

Guys it just boils down to personal preference here. SHMA will always...to probably ko'd NECA everytime, but NECA will always be affordable.

Well I think we all know that SHMA is superior due to the articulation and etc. to NECA even though NECA are trying their damnedest to do what they can. Still what I trying to say or how I said it maybe got lost in translation is that just buy what you like hell buy both if that's your thing. And besides we have options on what Godzilla 2019 we can get.

Ill be the one to make the argument that NECA is a better figure overall. I think the sculpt is pretty much equal for my taste and the paint is far superior. As an artist, I have resources to fix the paint errors. Not everyone can and yeah, its not the vanilla so it isnt really fair to count it, but I think with those paint fixes NECA is just superior. And that price is a steal.
And IDK if Im gonna get Mothra and Rodan, but at least if I do get the NECA versions, it cant hurt to save a bit for SHMA Ghidorah.
Sh monsterarts 2019 godzilla's eyes are incredibly tiny but in a good and detailed way
I obviously can’t afford the Monsterarts poster color version so I’m buying a normal 2019 and I’m gonna customize it
Well for NECA it's just decent all around... price, paint job, articulation, etc... then again SHMA just makes sense to win since it's more expensive but at the end of the day it would always come down to whoever is buying for what purpose. But hey... SHMA is $70 while NECA is only $25 butttt if you also buy NECA v2 with the atomic beam, you'll have 2 figures (one normal, one with light up dorsal fin) with some accessories for only $50~ which still cheaper than $70 SHMA price tag... it's a win-win in my book x3
Neca's paintjob and sculpt aren't very decent but price is definitely better if you're just looking for a basic figure. Overall though for a collector, the monsterarts is definitely the better option.

Now, I do have the NECA Godzilla 2019 in my collection which I'm not complaining about the eyes and the teeth because this is an early product item and I appreciate it. Same goes to the SHMA 2019 figure which I haven't bought yet, it will be in my shelf and accurately with Trespasser Kaiju for a one on one battle.

SHMA 2021 is basically a repaint of it with an issue of mine, let me explain. SHMA has the guts to give it 2 alternative hands. Those are accessories, right? Well he’s repainted in his blue back and eyes. WHERES THE ATOMIC BREATH! WHY!
NECA did a good job on making there version of Godzilla 2019, but SHMA takes the cake.

Damn, i really have a problem. Don't know if i should pay more for that neck moving and better painting on the eyes but ugly gaps near his tail or stay true to neca for a more reasonable price with better body paint and a derpingo face...
That neck movement is awesome, but the figure is just in one color...
The SHMA is so boring. I don't see how he can say the paint is better, it literally looks like an unpainted bit of black plastic. Godzilla isn't pure black, he never has been- it looks off. I also think his neck ruins it. He's too serpent like on the SHMA, and I don't understand what he was talking about with the NECA's proportions. The spines are only a tad larger than they are in film, and the head is the same size. But the SHMA has a tiny head, and it looks really off. I think the SHMA 2014 Godzilla was better than the NECA, and even though the NECA uses basically the same CGI model with changes (just like the film does) it also uses a new mold, and it looks better than the SHMA 2019. Obviously SHMA has better articulation, but the points on articulation on the neck on the 2014 are more natural than the ones on the new figure, you'll notice a lot of the plates/ridges along the side of his neck don't even line up on the SHMA, and it looks really weird. My 2014's line up perfectly regardless of neck position, everything seems balanced.
They both have weird mouth hinges, that make their jaws look weird. The NECA looks weird with its mouth closed, but the SHMA looks weird with it opened.

Atomic breath version, so far the NECA is sick. It's a bit stylized, but no more than the SHMA 2014 Spitfire is (sits on my desk) I preordered it. Not a fan of the "lighting" they did on his chest but I'm sure it will look better in person. Hopefully SHMA has a cool version.
Screen accuracy is always BIG for me, and the 2014 SHMA has a pretty accurate head/sculpt- it has his signature big brow and he only looks goofy in certain angles if you really look for it. Meanwhile, IMO, the 2019 one always has a snake head.

Not too impressed with the head and neck design.
Instead of having the segments overlap from the head to the body like NECCA;
SH MONSTER ARTS does it in reverse. That doesn't look anatomically right.
It more resembles a foreskin instead of a scaled neck.
This makes the monster look as his head will collapse inward to his body.
To sum these up if you want a detailed toy get S.H monsterarts if you want a very detailed model get neca

I will say, I really like the NECA Godzilla KOTM V2, but on mine, yesterday night, the tongue popped out of the mouth! But I managed to get it back inside his mouth.

My only issue with NECA is the articulation range, eyes and accuracy to the CGI model that are used in the film but everything other than it about this figure is beautiful though

All The Winning Neca Figures Are Looking Down At Neca 2019 and Neca 2001 Right Now.
I am both of them the SH monster art Godzilla has pieces that always fall off it’s a must as aggravating as a mafex Figure when it comes to posing it u just want to knock everything off the shelf And all the ball joints including the back in the legs like I said before just have massive gaps in them and if your figure is loose it just looks like a very cheap figure more articulation doesn’t always make a better figure
On neca it looks weird when the neck is turned the dorsalplates don't like up

Honestly, to me it feels like NECA got a 3D model of goji, and just made some cuts in it to had joints, making minimal changes to allow movement. Half of the joints are so useless. The head can only look side to side, and there’s basically no use of the body joint
The neca is perfect except for the eyes I like the light paint because all the detail it shows
But think about it 20$ vs $69.99. So if you want a Godzilla figure that’s nice not best but 40$ less... I prefer Neca. Btw I Think neca definitely deserved the paint and sculpt round.
Huh what? Neca's eyes look like a bad shin Godzilla and their sculpt is from an outdated maquette. If anything it looks like they just slapped on some new dorsal plates aswell as a dry brush and called it a day. The SHMA like STR explained is literally a brand new sculpt and figure. Bandai put a lot of effort into this release and definitely deserves the win in paint and sculpt.

Honestly I don't like either. I like Neca's proportions and paint job better, but the head is overall bad. The SHMA looks great but he's too slim and the head is distractingly small. I don't really like how the beam works either. Perhaps I'll wait for the spit fire neca and see if that one looks better
