Mercedes W212 | Keyless-Go Repair

- It's likely a common issue caused by the deterioration of the seal layer around the door handle, leading to moisture ingress and cable breakage.
I had following fault code
(9A4A14 the keyless-go sensor in the left front door handle has a malfunction. There is a short circuit to ground or an open circuit.)

Yess not often can make a Mercedes repair for free like this, I had some bad soldering so I could not get the grommet all way in but should not be to much issue!

The same procedure goes for all door handles, but be prepared for the rear doors the normal torx not going to work you need a long guy there!
thats a shame, because I wanted to remove the rear right door handle and get it sprayed again because it has a small defect on the colour.
Shouldn’t be much worries go to your local hardware store and you should find a long TORX like this for a few bucks!

Thanks 🫡 now when I seen how bad these door seals was and probably due to that cables corroding more. I going to add that to my service thing. I checked them at mb and cost is only about 1.5 euro each.

My keyless-Go system died at ten years, no doors or either key respond. I have read that the receiver, keys and ignition switch are usually all replaced at the stealer for $1,000. Mine will probably never be fixed 😢
