    This is so freaking incredible. Apart from the absolutely brilliant and technical guitar playing and emotions. Joanne didn't just copy manic depression, she made her own improvised version of it. That is true genius. This is absolute top class.

    The more I hear from you the more I am blown away. This is not critique in any way just an observation from a fellow guitarist put some Grover's on that bad boy and maybe a bone nut to keep it in better tune for you, unless it's a vintage Paul and you don't want to ruin the the originality of it I totally understand. Otherwise I literally have Goosebumps from head to toe, you're playing and your vocals are just unbelievable. God bless

    Wow Jyme, you seem to be awfully critical of everybody you comment on.
    I wonder how your talent compares to the people you critique.
    Her hair is fine, and the speed of the song is determined by the artist that is performing it.
    She does an awesome job.
    Maybe you could show us what you can do.

      While some distortion stood out, it was just so impressive I had to share it. This was taken with a basic camcorder and it was when I just started doing this, so it was a learning process. Plus, I was sitting in the front row. Your story reminds me of an older brother about 50 years ago when the cops were called on him numerous times due to him cranking it up!

    Nice first solo == nothing like a nice slow waltz meter to build against, eh?
    Maybe someday, like Jeff Beck, she will set down the wonderfully easy to play Les Paul and pick up the dreaded Stratocaster.
    LP's sound sweet, that's a fact.
    But the Strat -- well, the possibilities are infinite.
    I have to say she reminds me a bit of Chris Duarte, here around the 8 min mark.
    Wonderful player -- tons of soul power shining thru.
    Blessings

    • @jonfaerman7518
      @jonfaerman7518 Před 9 lety

      well to be honest is not the guitar is the human behind because if you set your strat with a mid action and a easy goin bridge is like butter so...other thing is if you want to play like SRV but...the lespaul have some hard stuff to manage too so to say the "wonderfully easy to play" is a foolish prejudice to me. also you can put a strat with 09 and some fat pickups and a tube screamer or a bbpreamp and sound like a sweet cheese man...but when you bend a lespaul even if the scale is shorter you are bending the string not the springs at the back...

  • @arrowheadbandcanada7476
    @arrowheadbandcanada7476 Před 10 lety +1

    Very nice, however I found the playing to be out of context. Bonamassa must be an influence. I like the tone and I wish it wasnt distorted. Good Cover.

    @GeneticHybrids Před 10 lety +2

    You stomped my pedals...turn my machine head around and around...helped me feel better in tune with the fact that we musicians have problems with depression, its a sad but constantly looped reverb! People are idiots when they miss the point of what you are trying to say by playing a song so close to our hearts...Manic depression is a frustrating mess!!! Good looks, a big crowd, and awesome guitar skills, never quite satisfy us like we wish they would. I hear ya sister! Who cares if its too slow or not Hendrix..nobody's Hendrix ya dumb fucks...call me out on stage and don't be surprised if my guitar strap comes loose and mysteriously you get a reverse strat to your face! Yeah...like you haters can play it like Hendrix or even half as good as she just did.... Fuckin please! Great job sister wish I knew ya personally...you are the embodiment of the likewise musically talented woman I cherish but never meet! :)
