What would be nice is if Canada could get the vehicles and options that are available in Europe, Australia and the rest of the world, instead of being stuck with what the U.S. allows. For example, the Borrego (Mohave) was quickly killed off when the Georgia plant opened to make the Sorento. The Mohave is still out there, and next year the Tasman truck will launch. Maybe Canada can get that Kia truck?
I’m a spare tire guy. A guy thing for sure….My ‘24 Lexus IS500 has one. A plus for me when buying. Certainly not a deal breaker….
My pet hate when you’ve just parted with your hard earned cash to purchase your new car then find out that the hardware you’ve just purchased won’t work unless you pay a monthly fee.Imagine buying a new laptop and finding out you can only use the software that runs it if you pay a monthly fee. Also I love the safety tech that Kia/Hyundai are implementing in their new vehicles. The brand in my opinion leads the way at the moment.but how long are these sensors, microprocessors and flat screen dashboards going to last.Once the dash screen fails a lot of companies that solely rely on that flat screen to operate the car temp, vol and other functions are going to render the car unoperable.
Subscriptions seem to be where the industry is heading. Hopefully it's not sustainable. But it's understandable that there is a huge cost to manufacturers for continuous software updates, which people don't want to pay for in advance.
I don’t love the idea of subscription based features either :( especially for key comfort features like heated seats, etc.
Gabi and Charlotte I totally agree with you on the Mustang Mach E. As a Mustang purist who has owned two this is such a bad thing Ford has done!! It is a good car but I would rename it the Probe or maybe the Pinto? Perhaps maybe Futura? After all EVs are supposedly the future. What do you think??
Okay, but the Pinto is actually such a good name idea!
They should have called the MACH E a Maverick, which used to be a Ford 4 door sedan not a pick up truck. Mustangs have never had 4 doors. It's like they've forgotten their heritage!
The perception of a brand can be hugely affected by the importer and retailers/service in a market. Some brands are a complete "red flag" in my book due to that, even though I'm sure the cars are pretty decent, but that doesn't help if you end up with a lemon and get no, or very bad, support.
That’s very true - customer service plays a HUGE role!
Present from the Philippines 🙋
Saw 6 cars on the side of the road that had all hit a big pot hole, they were all waiting for the roadside rescue trucks because none of them had spares.
Man, 6 cars! That’s crazy!
Should have both spare and inflate kit
If you have a spare you do not need a tire inflation kit.
Very Expensive 💰💰💰💰 not paying that for a new vehicle. I rather buy a classic American Car
I had a 2002 Dodge Ram and kept up with all the routine maintenance. It finally broke down last year with 320,000 miles on it.
Thanks for sharing! That’s a great example of evaluating a brand based off of ownership experince, rather than societal perception!
Have not had spare tires in any of my cars since 2010. Never replaced OE run flats with run flats. Ford’s use of the mustang name for the Mach E is purely just for profit reasons, trying to cash in on the brands existing goodwill. Don’t need to be a car expert but need to read the **** manual. I buy premium brands for the sporty driving characteristics. Xenon HIDs were great. Better visibility than halogens and melted ice and snow.
I agree about the Mustang Mach E. Just Mach E would've been fine.
For sure - I feel like that’s what I normally refer to it as.
I came up with an original name for the Mach-E...Mocker-E👈
Really ???? When Chrysler Owned Lamborghini for a short time back in 1980-1990's Lamborghini built LM 001 A High Performance SUV . No Lamborghini customers & Fans didn't Complain . I have driven The Mach E So what is a Mustang that is Electric & SUV Nice Vehicle. I am not a Electric Vehicle fan I respect The Engineering.
@derekgaliee4351 well WE don't respect the naming because they used it to "Jedi mind trick" the public and apparently it's worked for tens of people out there with them🤔
That’s pretty funny not gonna lie 😂
My pet hate people with big, loud sounds systems fitted into very basic cars ! 😂
😂
Hi lovely ladies. Been watching your channel for long. If I lived in Canada, I would’ve bought the two of you ❤ finally ordered my Kia Sportage HEV! Just wondering if you can do an episode on proper ‘engine break in’ for new cars, esp petrol self-charging hybrids. Thank you ☺️
Love the Sportage HEV! Such a great vehicle to own. We’ll add it to our video list!
Love the personal stories....
We’re glad to hear it!
I have an idea for you ladies. How about go to a race track and do a drag race between the new Ioniq 5 N vs the EV6 GT. That way you’ll know which EV is the fastest.
…may or may not be something we’re working on…
hi Gabi, you are so gorgeous ❤
My hot take is.......GV80 is the best-looking SUV out.
I want a spare tire. Every one of the 43 cars that I’ve owned in the past 62 years have had one so I don’t see any reason to change now. No pun intended. The 2025 K5 GT has one…
#bringbackspares
They should bring back the Hyundai Veloster. Let them know.
Will do
📖
I have owned 5 pickup trucks, two of them were Dodge. Both were he worst trucks I've ever had, more problems than any other brand I have owned.
Hate cars these days with all these inflatable spare tire kits.
My hot take is that full size pickups are the ugliest vehicles on the road and they’re driven by the worst drivers. No Jethro, your F-150 is not meant to slalom between cars on the interstate. 🙄
If there’s one thing truck drivers have, it’s the AUDACITY!
In my opinion, the 2024 Santa fe is ugly as ****
You’re so real for that
I think your hot takes are just like the cars that you're selling, inflate.kit instead of an actual spare? Duh, common sense
