It sounds good, but seems to lack power - each time you turned, Colin, the engine RPM dropped quite a bit. It seemed like you could easily stall it. I thought Bulldog N engines were rated at 35 BHP. I had an old Cat D46U, a much larger machine with an engine (4-stroke high speed) rated at 48 BHP. The governor on the Cat is able to hold the RPM in an iron grip in similar circumstances, and it's hard to stall it.
@@colinhardefeldt1642 it's just nice that you have Lanz burners anyways! Many people threw them away over time and/or used different ones. I've recently seen videos where they used too much heat from big gas torches even until iron sparks started to burn... Or the classic case of can torches without a stand or the hanging option. Consider yourself lucky having them!

Wirkliche eine tolle Arbeit Colin! Aus einem Haufen Schrott wieder einen so schönen Bulldog entstehen lassen. Wow! Great Job!
thankyou
Век отработала техника, и ещё пару веков прослужит, при должном уходе.
These things are so damn cool. What was the original purpose, mainly pulling?
mainly paddock work mate
Is this even the original heating torch? ❤️

@@colinhardefeldt1642 the burner to pre-heat the cylinder bulb
@@gustavgnoettgen why do you ask me that, this is only one of the many Lanz Bulldog burners that i have and who really knows which one is correct
