I always play as light side Revan so I have his white robe mod which lets you wear a white version of Revan’s robes and carry white lightsabers. Looks really good actually.
I remember feeling so smart the first time I faced Malak and he explains how he absorbs the Jedi’s power. I was like “great idea!” And used Force drain on them all at once to gain back my health and rob Malak of the opportunity. Idiot shouldn’t have said anything.

The music that was composed for Kotor is none other Jeremy Soule, composer for the music of the Elder Scrolls series! In fact around the same time of Kotor's release, Morrowind came out as well!
I was playing light side and I just kept using medkits and force heal to heal myself as well as shields and all that stuff. I didn't even know you could/were supposed to destroy the pods. Eventually he just used them all up and I killed him
Nah, I had the very same idea. I was light side, though. I tried to do the same as Dark Side, but I got my shit pushed in. As Light Side, I just let Malak drain all the Jedi while I stood by and did nothing to prevent that and I still whooped his ass. As Dark Side, I just didn't have the longevity to pull that off. Maybe I built my character wrong or something, but without killing at least some of the pods myself, I just couldn't pull it off.
I did the same. My goal wasn't only to defeat him. I wanted to humiliate him. I wanted him to realize that he was nothing but a peon to the power of a true Dark Lord of the Sith. :P I was like 'sure, go ahead... run off to your little life support packages. Make my fun last, little man!"
I just finished this game in the dark side a few days ago, this is still easily one of the best games I’ve ever played! The story and writing are so compelling I’m considering recording the gameplay and making it a film! I’m about to restart on the light side🤘🏻
I love this scene,it's fantastic you got betrayed and nearly died by your traitorous apprentice,you got reprogrammed by the Jedi and you have traveled all this way chasing a legend Finally you get to reclaim what was rightfully yours! A really satisfing ending to a fantastic journey Too bad there's isn't the ending sequence in this video and skipped the conversation between Revan and Malak
Thanks! The Dark side Ending is my own "canon" because Revan returns to his true self and the other "ending" is being a puppet of the Jedi. Could you do an alternate version where we see Darth Revan picking the dialogue with Malak (I was always stronger than you, Malak!) instead of the skip to combat and include the ending sequence?

@@guardianlamb9962 that's the story written for the shit game TOR. The original story is that he encountered the True Sith empire but was not brainwashed, but he did what he did because the Republic was too weak to survived as it was.
In the starforge there's a room where can craft a suit of armor (a dark one like revan's, minus the cloak/hood & mask if you're on the dark side, or a white one if you're on the light side). It's by far the best armor in the game but you only get it for the last mission. So the black Starforge armor is the closest you would get to look like OG Revan, but to get the real OG Revan set, you need a mod.

The robe is inside the Star Forge in one room. But you can't get the Revan mask because in the original game that isn't equippable. He uses a mod in the video yo get the mask. However there is a similar mask in the sith academy on Korriban.
It was lazy writing on Bioware's part. Drew Karpyshyn admitted that they pressured him into concluding Revan's story with the abomination that we were given. They jury-rigged the story to fit in "The Foundry" and "Infinite Engine" without giving them any proper explanations or satisfactory conclusions. KOTOR did a masterful job of explaining the Star Forge and the intent and painstaking lengths that it took to create that space station.
So, if this were a choreographed fight, what do you think it would look like? Would it be slow and methodical like ESB, or something more akin to the prequels? Maybe something new entirely?

You can get the robes (light side robe - play as jedi, dark side robe (og revan robe) - play as sith). Unfortunately you cant get the mask without using mods
Partly he destroyed the Captive Jedi in their pods, so Malak wasn't able to recover. I don't know how many Jedi levels he had (which can make a huge difference at the end of the game). One of the things I remember learning after my very first playthrough was that you could bank levels until reaching Dantooine and have more levels as a Jedi than if you leveled up in your starting class normally. My personal best was getting to Dantooine at level 3, IIRC.
I prefer the lightside ending, he says a lot of cool stuff, and at the end he realises that the dark side always ends at darkness. (the lightside ending is the canon one). And at SWTOR, at the boss fight with Revan, Revan says that he understand how Malak felt, really deep, I really loved it
Haha yah same, I'd like run around the stair set away from Malak and Huck 50 grenades lol... Loved this game back in the day when it first came out. Truly best starwars story line still. Was hopeing a series of movies could be made about the mandalorin wars and rise of these two characters.
focus on strength and constitution, go to the light side, get quel dorma jedi robe, and those headwear that you found on kyshhyk that increases your wisdom, get guardian of the force and mantel of the force with hyper-strength you can kill malak with 1 advanced fury
Great game. The twist in it - is a big one. Just a great RPG and manages to capture the spirit and use the universe of Star Wars so we’ll. The sequel is okay, but obviously it was rushed and that didn’t help. It’s good, but not as good as this game was.
Kotor 3 become SWTOR. There you can play stories with revan in a flashpoint and in Story. swtor isnt that good like kotor but its a brilliant Game too!
It’s easy to defeat Malak with a strengh and constitution based character. Currently I am playing on hard difficulty and I am going to chose scoundrel + consular classes. That will be a challange!🙂👍✌️👽
I also played as a Scoundrel/Consular in my most recent playthrough. My character was a female, though. I couldn't defeat Malak directly so I had to run around spamming Saber Throw and occasionally Force Wave until he went down.
Um while I was fighting Malak was frozen in place after draining all the dead Jedi I think in the left I did not drain when I was about to Malak was frozen I saved it
