@@ITFZoneI settled for a Harley for 20 years and I still own 2. Last year I bought a new Wing, and it's hands down the most incredible bike I've ever ridden, and I've ridden R18's and K1600's.
Congrats on the Wing! I have been tempted in the past but even with all of its flaws or shortcomings I am still married to the Harley Davidson brand! But long live the Wing!
I don’t feel the need to do 100 mph but if joe down the road wants to that’s his prerogative. Almost all 4 wheeled vehicles can go 100 mph. It is pretty sad that for so much money new owners are constantly fixing their Harley that should have been fixed before delivery. Thank you so much for doing what you do because it sounds like some dealership just want to wash their hands of the problems.
For sure I think we all want HDMC to deliver on expectations and it’s just frustrating to see the issues continue to surface. The dealers are really in the middle and left hanging but for sure an opportunity for them to deliver on customer service regardless!
Another video that makes me happy I got a 2023 Street Glide Special and didn't wait for the 2024. I was at my dealership yesterday to get the engine oil cooler fan activated. The service department was packed with 2024's for all sorts of issues. Just wait people. There are a lot more issues out there that have not been reported yet. Just wait until the summer and those nice big screens start crashing in the heat.
I wish I didn’t feel the same way, my dealer is receiving 24’s with wrong or missing parts! But at least the major components like the motor are proving to be solid thus far!
Late last summer was thinking about selling my bike and using that for a down payment for a new 24 . Was out on a late summer ride and broke a valve spring on the rear cylinder . With all the damage which included rear piston, valves , rocker and head i told Harley to replace the front cylinder also ended up with a new top end and ported and polished heads . After hearing about the headaches with the new 2024 and knowing how long it takes Harley and let alone warranty i am happy to keep my current bike for a couple of more years .
i verified my bike had the update but it came that way everything works, only thing ive noticed is that i have to set the audio routing to my helmit all the time it would stay in my other 2021 settings so going to ask about that at my dealer you have lots of great info i greatly appreciate your time sir. thanks again.
I have not had issues with the routing holding its last selection. It does come down to wether the headset is on before the bike looks for it, at least in my experience. Appreciate your support of the channel! Happy to help anyone with questions!
I have a 24 road glide and just had the update done. Took 3 hours. On the ride home the entire dash turned off and rebooted. Also now the WiFi signal shows red for low reception. Oh boy. Just an FYI for your users.
I have seen one other report of the dash going off on a '24. Not seen this on a '23 or on my bike as of yet. I have seen the WIFI icon show red for no signal with the X. BUT I also will say I gave up on WIFI all together on my bike. I can rarely get it to connect to my hotspot without me having to manually connect it each time.
My 23.5 Road Glide is at the dealer now. They told me that they had new updates for the infotainment. When I pick my bike up next week I will talk to them and see if these are newer updates or the same old ones. I guess I'll know if the amps is bricked.
For sure there is no update for the infotainment system on the '23.5's. I keep checking! However if you do not have the amp 1.3.3.0 update this is well worth it! Really improves the sound!

I like my desk top computer... at home. been riding 50+ years I do not want PC issues when I am in the wind on two wheels. I did not like it in 2018 and I found one Kawasaki Naked Zed 900 non ABS and I thought it had to much electric components. 2023 I bought a 2nd bike...my first Brand new Harley, a non ABS FXST. I still wished it had LESS ELECTRONICS... progress. just finished having a Screamin eagle kit 119 C.I. STAGE 3 done by my dealer in November 2023. Does this Harley need those updates and software patchs to function? She seems fine so far and I ride mostly all highway and rarely go over 80-85 mph. The dealer her put on a dyno to finish the tune with a pro tuner which was complex tech...it showed 116 HP and a bump in torque. call me old fashion because I still keep a map in my leathers...LOL Thanks for the info.
I cannot disagree with wanting to avoid the tech of the new bikes. Fortunately we have still much to choose from without too much tech and go back just a couple of years and you have even more choices. I truly wonder how well or not well the Harley crowd will adopt these new bikes. I do think we are starting to hand the heritage of Harley to the "younger" crowd at this point, which is a good thing!

They fixed that issue but has no idea of the crank no start bulletin so I never got that done. Tried to argue with the kid at the counter but he didn’t like that I seemed to know more than him and dismissed me.
Oh man, if your sound locks up pull the main fuse to reset it, see my video on the fuse. Unfortunately you cannot verify your ECM version, the dealer has to use the digital tech. Sounds like you may need a different dealer. I am always bummed to read these stories! Simple customer service!!
The new fairings have a noticeable effect on not wind and handling. I have been really impressed by the rain deflection for sure. Apparently the Street Glides are creating a floating condition at speed.
This is why I'm leary about buying the first version of new styles of bikes. It makes me wonder how many problems they'll have with the new water cooled engines, new fairing designs, infotainment centers, and all the other new stuff they've done. Sure it makes it look nice but what about durability and safety. The whole death wobble on the cvos makes ya think they need to go back to the drawing board and do a bit more R&D before they put em out for us to be guinea pigs.
I hear you, living with mine now for 6 months now I haven't run into anything I am overly concerned about but it is frustrating. The motor thus far has been solid! The ride is truly awesome! Wait or jump in, a personal decision for sure. We know what HDMC is wanting to see!
@ITFZone ya my buddy bought the new road glide and it's really a nice bike, but just after he hit 600 miles on it he ran into the no crank no start issue and had to have it flashed after it left him stranded. I know he's not too thrilled about it and we all know the feeling of when you lose trust in your ride, never a good thing.
Completely agree! Really hoping this issue is solved now and will not impact any more out there! Mine failed twice but fortunately started on both occasions!
Thank you for all of the great info!. I am a bit confused. I have a 2024 CVO Road Glide. When I go to the update page for Skyline OS (2024) I see the update but it says dealer only. It also says to reference Bulletin M1625. When I click on the link it takes me to the Bulletin which has no information on it. Not sure what I am doing wrong?
Service Bulletins require a login which you can setup for free, but most require a subscription. These updates have to be installed by a dealer at this time and should already be on your bike. Verify your infotainment version against what is listed on the site.
Oh my so your dealer failed to install during the PDI. Your dealer will have to install both the ICFU and AMP 1.3.8 updates for you. You cannot download them without a dealer login. I suspect many new '24 owners will not have these updates and they are to fix many of the bugs us 23.5 owners are still living with!@@mklein345
The update setting will only light up if a thumb drive is present with an update on it. For whatever reason the software appears to support over the air updates but it’s not enabled!
LOL, I am no authority for sure but I would never recommend being that rider that everyone despises on the highway! We want the same respect as we expect out of the cagers on the rode! But having fun in a safe way is a big part of the sport!

Nothing wrong with this decision, terrible to have a motor blow up. Thus far the new motors are showing to be reliable but yes it is early!

I'm a Harley guy and the speed governor issue doesn't make sense because no changes were made to the frame.
