- Let me explain to you in simple term, about Part 2 (v7.4) so far
For CN translation, can refer Marisa rentry :

Senadina and Helia is both Astral Ring : World Star, meaning they both spawn Star or Resonance Mark that can be proc to deal DMG
Coralie is Astral Ring : Rite of Oblivion, she can support and trigger Resonance Mark
Thelema is Astral Ring : Wheel of Destiny, when Thelema is leader, meaning standby valk will turned into Phantom/Shadow to assist ATK and when Thelema is support, she can trigger Resonance Mark
So for version 7.5, Lantern is Astral Ring : Wheel of Destiny, which is the same as Thelema
She is mostly solo DPS, but can also support and provide buff for whole team
So the best team for Lantern is Senadina and Thelema, why?
Senadina is crucial because as for now, she is the only valk that provide Elemental Breach for team
While Thelema, she have Elemental, Physical and TDM related buff for the team
If Thelema is replaced with Coralie, Lantern will miss most of Thelema buff, as you can see from the dmg difference, it's around 5%
So missing Thelema is not really a big deal if you don't really compete much, but you should be worried more if you're planning to get Lantern but still don't have Senadina
Until we have another future valk that can provide Elemental Breach for team, missing Senadina is a big deal
And if you wonder if Lantern can function in Senadina DPS team, yes she can
As I mentioned earlier, she have same Astral Ring as Thelema, which mean she can trigger Resonance Mark no problem, but the dmg is a bit low compared to Thelema after testing
One reason I can think is of course, missing Thelema elemental and TDM buff
Not great but still usable
*this is still in beta phase, so dmg is not final, anything could happen even few hours before CN goes live

Im prob the only one who feels this way but I think part 2 is a path in the wrong direction. It's already dumb how the first 3 S ranks releases are BiS with eachother but they added refinements to weapons. This would've been fine if weapons have an equal chance of dropping compared to stigs but they're not. I always get the weapon at the very end and when that happens, I already have the full stig set. They're trying so hard to copy aspects from their other games into this. Idk man, im not even motivated to pull for SS minimum anymore despite it being cheaper.
this game is alr being genshinified, with 4 S rank back to back, it's no surprise they will keep this way
yeah pulls might be cheaper, but that means they can put S2 or SS as the most broken and game changing mechanic for that certain valk
with stig now being craftable, stig literally have no value at all, not mentioning upgrading them need new mats which could be horrible
no weapon dupe nowadays mean your torus income is really fked, unless you pull a lot
depends on ppl, some like this part 2, some don't
f2p sees it as cheaper and bearable gacha to get fullset, but if you light or heavy spender, this will torture you a lot with this terrible gacha experience if you aiming for ranks and refinement
@@NyllHzri Im a light - medium spender in this game and I already don't like the new gacha experience. Everything u described is almost exactly how i feel. These stigs have literally NO value at all other than upgrading other new part 2 stigs.
I was always top 5 in my bracket in nirvana before part 2 but now I can't even get a decent score because I skipped songque who apparently is a must have considering the astral ring recharges really slow with elves. I just don't know how much longer i can keep spending at this point. No matter it be ranks, astral ring support, or wep refinement, u can't compete with the guys who are willing to spend the extras to get them.
It def feels like the wrong direction that makes me feel like HI devs are lost to what they really want to do with Part 2. This is that same trend of other games where they force you to play the sequel which ends up being worse than the first one. They mentioned how they want to make Part 2 more team based gameplay wise but proceeds to introduce not one but two solo dps characters. Pretty sure the majority wanted an APHO playstyle for Part 2, we somewhat got that with Sena+Helia+Cora but everything else diverged from that beginning. Outside of gameplay, a lot of things already felt subpar than Part 1 and 1.5 like the story.
@@simpoftunality the part 2 valks are trying to be everything at once. They're also really boring as well. I always thought switching and rotating over and over again is a bit tedious but they cranked up annoyance factor by 80% with thelema. Just genuinely, what in the world is her gameplay? Im just sitting there spamming the same two combos over and over again. I haven't been disappointed with gameplay for a long time in this game. I really enjoyed playing garuda fu hua and luna, going from them to this is honestly unacceptable.
@@OnlySSSTuna the only thing different about Thelema is all about optimizing getting her stacks and tbh it's not fun at all. Even PGR has teams start to do more rotations. Hoyo definitely went two steps backwards with Thelema.
My lantern would be fine with 5% loss for sure : D
thelema abyss and ma coverage is still insane, but depends if you like her or not

tbh not a big fan of the part 2 trend of having the subsequent part 2 valks' bis teams to also be previous part 2 valks. even hotr will be obsolete in no time if this keeps up.
looking at the pattern, they will definitely go with this trend unless something change
we alr got 4 S rank back to back, I won't be surprised if entire part 2 is just S rank every patch
hotr is almost getting obsolete by now, only useful for Luna team or some fire valk like HFS, trio herrscher is dying to new Sena Thel Lantern team
The good thing is that part2 valks are not locked into specific elemental teams like Part1. Making them more versatile and hold much more value. I think that's what hoyo is aiming for. Which is better in the long run.

@@mleong75 yea i think this is way better in the long term, in p1, if you pulled a character you had to go either for the support or pul the dps if you have enough to build them but now with the part 2 team, this is easier to build character and in top of that they give discount in first pull and the banner last longer (and the versions too meaning more time to save)..and now if u like a character puling for her has more value than p1 valk that got stucked in one role except seele and luna who is broken in every possible way
I don't see the issue. HoTr getting replaced? More like why are you even surprised.. you new or something? Even when I was a new player knew all this when I saw all the old valks out of meta. Garuda replaced Dea. Thelema replaced HoR. Lantern is probably replacing HoFs. HoTr will come eventually. Same for any valks.
New players, old players, just pull new valks or skip and use old ones losing in current meta. Like if you skipped Senadina for Garuda Hua, I skipped Garuda for Sena. You made your choice and I made mines. Same as always the case for part 1 and 1.5.
man I was just redownloaded this game after finally have the time to play, snooping around what's the current best valks and it seems I miss out Sena. welp probably still pull for her since I like her character design(haven't got to part 2 so idk about her personality but fashion wise she looks neat), hoping that we got more support valks for her
Can't afford to drain all my crystals for both. Spending event is coming fast XD
I see a few people upset with the way the new valks are BIS for each other but I have a theory that may relieve the stress.
It seems that the more valks we get the more likely that they will all synergize more or less and support many other valks with the astral rings. Many future valks will act as support for wheel. And many others will benefit or have world star nodes. And each will mostly work with any other valk.
In this way instead of a valk having one BIS team units are interchangeable more or less and you get a little more freedom to pull who you want instead of needing to pull a specific S-rank dps, S-rank support, and an SP valk.
The problem is not the gear, valk, gacha or even the boss
The problem with part 2 valk is their gameplay boring as fuck
Honkai revolves around rotation, rotate each valk for the buff and dps do their stuff, that's what makes honkai interesting, there is no damage per screenshot like in genshin or even hsr

All just one valk solo boss and kill right away, sacrifice fun for more dmg, it's boring lol
Well part 2 valk is much more fun to use than part 1 ngl plus the gacha is cheaper and noooo 50/50 unlike genshin and HSR who has 50/50

I like how versatile part 2 teams look like but I have some issues
Assuming the lack of SP/A ranks in the future, building them is a complete torture as you have to pull Sena + 2 more S rankers. The more they release part 2 bosses in MA, that is 3 more S rankers. Gacha is cheaper now but team building is what makes it more expensive.
there's just no reason for them to make SP ranks anymore tbh
look at Coralie, 2 patch and she alr getting replaced by Lantern for Thelema DPS team
Helia still stays since her AR synergize with Senadina to proc Resonance Mark
unless there's any changes, everything is just S rank patch back to back

@@simpoftunality I was getting every 2nd new character fully geared in part 1 as a free to play... and now since I cant get unlucky that a full gear character would cost me 60000+ crystals like Herrscher of Rebirth it is easy to full gear every new character in 2nd part. Already full geared Thelema, Senadina, Helia, Coralie + have another 35000 crystals already and I havent spent a single piece of money.

I’m a casual player so a lost of maybe 50-100 points or more won’t affect me that much. I’m only in Agony and i’m not concerned with getting up so thankfully I can still do most stages. I gave up on Thelma since she’s taking forever and she’s just kinda boring, morw intwrested in lantern cuz she looks cool af, and I was worried I’d need Thel to function
It's all great, but I don't have any part 2 event banner valks 😂

Thanks for the guide but i don’t even have sena. I can still easily retain RL with P1 valks. Btw seems like almost every top player (in SEA) don’t SSS P2 valks anymore, hopefully that will change the game direction

Her signature buff physical crit and stuff foreshadowing some physical part2 valk is kinda concerning for low spender lol bc that valk might be trash w/o her
Do you really need senadina to make everything work or would Thelema and lantern work the 2 of them with one of the other part 2 characters
senadina is the most important, she provide elemental breach almost 100% of the time for the team when certain sp is used so it's a must
the higher the disturbance, the more valuable ele breach is
Coralie is S-rank here. Won't something change if we use SSS? (I don't remember if her team buffs depend on rank after S)

@@jeremiahignacio6441 i can understand about the gameplay downgrade (for thelema) and UI downgrade, but where do you see the lore downgrade ? part 2 feel refreshing with new characters that have their own personalities and not cliche, the story is understandable unlike part 1 end when they just put random world philosophy in every dialogues

I like part 2 a lot, the characters aren’t that high investment, Senadina literally clears everything, Thelma and lantern giving good ice and fire. I think these characters are catering to the new players who don’t have much to clear games and they are giving out the ones that give us opportunities to clear, they’re also strong as heck

Wdym? They are high investment. Team building is what makes things more expensive crystals wise since they'll just keep on pushing S ranks. You also get less mats for upgrades and there is scarcity for prisms

thelema have huge coverage in ma and abyss, so I still won't recommend skipping her, unless you don't like her at all
depends on your teams like if you already have a fully built ice dps like herrscher of reason or fire dps herrscher of flamescion. I'm f2p too, skipped Garuda so I'm definitely going for Lantern.
Why people having a problem with this kind of team now? It not even a new thing. Just look at Kiana Finality, Mei Origin, Bronya Truth team for example. You can still use without 1 or 2 out of 3 but ofc it not as great as with having them 3 together. Just like my Mei Origin a completely useless trash without Kiana Finality and Bronya Truth

Each valk in herrscher trio could be used individually without consequence, and get competitive scores too. Part 2 s-ranks rely on each other.
people hate part 2 not because of character, I think they all have great design and beautiful personality in story
people hate part 2 because of bland gameplay, new mats problem, horrible gacha and Astral Ring is just strong but terrible mechanic in general
I'm pretty sure you know how APHO 2 is played
The gameplay is basically revolves around spamming QTE to deal the most dmg as possible, they don't lock into making you using only that one character on the field
When Lyle using ultimate, they receive special ATK, like Mei can spam combo ATK and auto refill depending on buff that you take
The character switching and QTE spam, those thing make game super interesting to play
Talking about part 2
Senadina debut is quite fine, we have Helia and Coralie as support
Since Senadina and Helia is AR : World Star, they spawn resonance mark and when Coralie enter, she trigger the resonance mark to deal dmg
Those new trio team is fine to play, until Thelema comes
She revolves around being Solo DPS, means nobody have to switch in and she deal most of the dmg by herself
Thelema is what makes people start hating part 2, because this game is supposed to have full team working together to create a beautiful rotation
But now it's just Thelema on field, doing same shit over and over
The fact that they make S2 quite possibly the most gamebreaking QoL for Thelema, and now it's already 4 S rank patch back to back, you can already wonder why people don't like it
The fact that you need minimum SS Songque to make part 2 team viable since she can provide extra energy for Stellar Outburst, it's laughable
Part 1 can still function without ELF, sacrificing dmg but Part 2 is downright terrible if you cannot use Stellar Outburst
About that trio herrscher,
HoFi can still works with CN and HoTr, heck even with CN and RC, the latest fun trick for her that you try is 3 combo in 1 HoTr ult which revolves around cancelling basic chain
HoO back then can still work with GD and PV, but not now since she is just sucks
And HoTr can become DPS with JK and SSt/RC
There is always alternative to this team that you can use, of course the dmg won't be great but at least it's fun to try once in a while (not when you compete ofc)
That's the main problem on Part 2 for now
Thelema and Lantern that defines Solo DPS gameplay is what makes this game not enjoyable anymore, this ain't ER or PGR
But again, not everyone hate this part 2, some still like it for the story, some don't like it because of bland solo gameplay
It's subjective for people so they're free to have their own opinion
Most whales don't care because they can just spend whatever they want with single mentality of "at least average pulls is much cheaper than part 1"
Mostly light or heavy spender is the class that suffers a lot, rank is important to make valk able to compete but refinement also important which can literally cost more than fullset part 1 valk if your gacha luck is terrible
Nah bro its not the same. The trio is a team formed by iconic characters, and the devs giving them a special joint gameplay when you had the 3 was really cool (and they told us in advance and gave us one for free). But the new ones doesnt make any sense, they didnt told me that NOT PULLING FOR SENA WOULD NOT LET ME PLAY THE NEW FKN ONES. I didnt went for thelema because she needs sena and im waiting for sena so i can play lantern because i like her. But now they are telling me that i need thelema in order to play lantern, yooo its bad joke i swear

Sena is the biggest scam ever. She should be an sp valk at best, i mean, her gameplay and designe are not even worth the crystals, even aichan or skywalker are cooler. I like the new valks but i cant get them because i need sena. Im not supporting this scam
