Thank you, Sharon! It was awesome to watch you as Raven and the rest of the cast back then--thanks for all the fun! I remember when these episodes first aired, and I still remember this scene with Nicole and Winter. Before I got hooked on Edge, I was a Dark Shadows fan. Since the shows were airing back to back for a time, my mother and I watched both Edge and Dark Shadows. When Dark Shadows was cancelled, I wasn't a fan of any other daytime drama, except The Edge of Night. At the time, it was one of the few shows still "presented live," which made it rather exciting. The acting was edgier, too, and excellent. I mean, really, I could see the adrenalin. However, even after it became a taped show, it was still the best acted dramas I had ever seen. Everything else looked like cartoons, by comparison. The Edge of Night definitely had an "edge." It was noir. I remember how I missed both of those shows, as I had gotten so attached to all the characters and the actors who made them real. It is a real treat to see these nuggets again. Thanks!

The only aspect I think could have been improved was the silhouette of Winter’s fall. A better scream during this scene would have also helped. It was pretty genius how Nicole’s overshirt got caught and she ended up taking it off so both characters/actresses wore the same clothing at the end to keep everyone guessing who fell.

The Edge Of Night seemed to have a Dark Shadows vibe. I wish some soaps today had a mysterious and spooky tilt. I remember some of this spooky background music @25:30 was used in other P&G soaps like Texas and Guiding Light.

It’s nice to have found your channel Sharon Rose Gabbot. I started watching The Edge of Night at a very young, age 8-9 perhaps, with my mother. I enjoyed you and Skyler as a couple and remember the Gunther/Valerie Bryson and Jody’s Marie Bonaventure storylines. I am currently enjoying another work of yours from another channel that focuses on One Life to Live, I call it the Alex Crowne Affair. I am at the part where Dr. Kellog is about to perform shock treatment on you at Mountain View. Awesome stuff and I cannot wait for more. What I found most interesting is that in "real" time when this aired, I was in school so only saw Stephanie Braxton in the role "1" time. I remember that episode like it was yesterday. The new Winter was so chilling (pardon the pun) but that is the exact word to describe how I felt watching that episode. She was equally chilling in this episode. Strangely enough, however, is that possibly I saw her 2 times because that catwalk scene is faintly familiar. I can't wait to see the early episodes of you playing Raven. Little did I know at the time that you would become my favorite actress. I will NEVER get enough of Raven.

One of the best parts of the Winter/Nicole storyline was getting to see so much of the actual ‘Edge’ production studio! That was really creative use of the whole set area and building! I am thinking the cleaning crew must have really done a lot of work to clean up the crew spaces so they would be camera ready.

Edge of Night seemed more sophisticated than any other soaps. It makes sense that it would be cancelled after most of the college educated young women started working. Sharon, thank-you for posting, what I remember as being the most heartbreaking storyline for me of the series. My heartbreak was twofold:
Firstly, having Lori Cardille leave the role of "Winter".
Secondly, that Winter was, in fact, guilty.
I remembered Tank Jarvis's death scene and wasn't sure if it was an accident or not, until very shortly afterward. I also thought this was Jayne Bentzens best storyline ( having accepted her as " Nicole" quite quickly lol ).
My favorite storyline with Raven was definitely the Molly Sherwood murders....THATS when I fell in love with RAVEN!! ....One of the most dynamic characters in soap history, as far as I'm concerned!! CHEERS!!
