33. Onward to Mercia Marina - back to marina life again

final cruise to get to Mercia Marina as we are staying at the marina for approx 12 days. Looking forward to bringing the boat back home where we bought it from in June 2022

That's when i had the pleasure of meeting you both lol. You kept yourself well hidden i didnt see you claire till chris came back lol. It was a nice view at stenson lock under the cover and how leaky it still was. That hadn't been opened for that long because it was shut down for weeks for repairs. Looking forward to what you got up to when you left the marina now xx

Lol! Other than seeing some friends i was hidden away trying to get all the videos and vlogs sorted! I had hundreds i had to watch and edit as well as some freelance work and book stuff! He was just swanning off having a good time 🙄🤣. Oh really? Sounds like most of the locks on the network to be fair. We've had a few problems with locks on the journey where we have set of and then a notification pings up but still going lll. Take care :) x

Can Chris remember his first trip on the canal about 1978 he sailed from Barrow to Swarkestone in a blow up dingy, you are correct the arm at Swarkestone is the Derby canal it went to Shelton lock then through Alvaston to Join the East Arm somewhere under the Holmes Bridge in the centre of Derby, Stenson was known as Stenson Bubble I don't know why.

He says he remembers having a dingy! He does have very fond memories of that place though which he has been talking about when we cruised through. :)
