  • Forging stainless steel cutlery has been a passion of mine for a long time. The tea spoon with a ghoulishly smiling face is an old design of mine that has seen a lot of refinement through the years.

I'm metal artisan Jaakko Rajala and I forge and fabricate delicate and artistic objects from steel and stainless steel. The products I show on these videos are of my own design. I wish to inspire other makers and crafters - but most importantly to entertain any viewer who happens to stumble on my videos. I hope you enjoy your time here!

What did you soak it in before the wire brushing??

It's a mixture of phosphoric acid and citric acid. Some people use hydrochloric acid but that needs to be neutralized and used in a well ventilated area.

You can call him Steve. Truth be told, I made it my self so I have no idea if that kind of an apparatus has an actual name. It has a tense enough spring to keep the clamp closed and a magnet at the bottom for easy set up.
