Yeah. When we acquired him, I was picturing him opposite DK. That would have created problems for a lot of teams. It seems like they wanted to run him on crossers a couple times a game and not much else. Definitely OC problems.

Wait what? Seemed to use them well in the 2022 season. I think he fell overly in love with JSN and they tried to force the ball a bit. Am still unhappy with the play calling, but it's not like SW doesn't know. I also think we should use the TE's and Bobo in the end zone more. I love Tyler, but let's face it, it's much harder to defend against a 6'7" TE or even a 6'4" Bobo/Metcalf than 5'10" Tyler in those scenarios.

Geno is so fucking far from our problem lol. Geno has been awesome honestly considering how long he waited to start again. I have so much respect for Geno. Obviously we need a qb for the future but I'm so glad things turned out with Geno how they did after trading Russ. Sucks we wasted this szn, Pete wouldn't have changed anything, I dont want to just win 8-10 games maybe win a wild card game and thts it? This team needs to take th next step to get to 10-12 wins and somehow compete for the division again. Pete had to go I just hope they dnt bring in Quinn or another defensive coach, we don't need a head coach to fix the defense. Our roster is built right now to be an offensive team its fucking maddening Pete still wanted to play like its 2013 with Marshawn and LOB defense. I still honestly think he dosent care at all about blowing SB 49, I dont think it bothered him at all. Our franchise hasn't been the same since tht night in Arizona

I think the offense is there. It’s the defense that needs to be revamped. Getting rid of Adam’s should be the first thing( can’t stay healthy nor he can’t cover). Good pressure on the opposing QBs. We need a game wrecker on the DL. Without sending a blitz When you give QBs all day to throw. Which makes the secondary hard to cover for a long period of time. Which sometimes turn into dumb penalties. Hawks front 7 giving up avg 138.4 rushing yard per game. That’s 31st in the league. Total yards a game 371.4 avg per game which is 30th
The offense is in the middle of the pack avg 322.9 yard a game and all other avg. middle of the pack.
The style of play has changed over the years. (As any other sport). When coaches don’t adapt to the style play. It’s hard to keep up. With Pete’s style and the coordinators and everyone also involved in the scheme ( not just Pete) it all seems to be in the past with the early 2000s scheme. Every team has gone through this. Being at the top and rock bottom trying to get back to the top.

Lots of comments here about how Seattle underused TEs. I wish I could remember who it was, but I remember someone noting that a lot of that might have had to do with how much we needed the TEs to assist blocking due to our banged up O-line. Injuries played a huge role in not quite getting the offense to consistently click.

For as long as I can remember the offensive line in the draft was an after thought or not thought about at all. Geno is right, the running backs are right, the wide receivers and TEs are right but the line, the guards the center, the back ups and now right tackle again??? 2.5 sec to throw the ball?? Exasperating. The defense, Carroll’s specialty, was ranked at the end of this season 30th and 25th last year and 28th the year before that. Does that seem like solid coaching? Nope. He doesn’t do what needs to be done anymore. His way of coaching is known throughout the league and there are never any surprises. Every damned team in the nfc west knows how to play against him and win. Time to say goodbye coach.

    • @brutal51

Pete should stay. What coach are u bringing in to take over? What if things are way worse? U don’t just fire ppl with the win-loss and success rate of Pete and just say fire him and expect to b better. That’s ludicrous thinking. You were prolly calling for a dk trade cos of a couple of penalty’s out of retaliation.

    • @aa-ze5cz
      @aa-ze5cz Před 5 měsíci

@@brutal51 DeBour, Johnson or even Slowik if you want the offensive coach, or bring back Dan Quinn (about the only success we had with defense) as a defensive minded coach. Harbaugh sounds like he'll go to the Chargers at this point.
Whatever, at this point we're stuck with Carroll and another mediocre team next year because Jody wants to sell and that's evidence of the fact everyone is still on the 'roster' at the coaching position.
Pete should stay... based on WHAT!? That comment from your post is one of the dumbest things I've read all day. And before you get all high and mighty on Geno, Schneider has ALWAYS controlled the QB on this team. He wanted the trade of Wilson (which was correct), WANTED Wilson (Carroll did NOT), and wanted Geno. So don't go down that road.
Carroll has been given WAY too much credit for Seatlte's past success and was given WAY too much control when Schneider was the one pulling a lot of the roster moves. When Carroll started Seattle started failing miserably with his crap offensive plan and even crappier soft zone.

@@beetlejuiceificationdafuq? Both yall are hilarious. The offense WOULD have been fine, as would the Oline.. but they incurred 3 catastrophic injuries to the Oline first game of the season. Teams dont have that happen. Usually when teams incur such problems on the Oline its after multiple lines have been founded to get reps in so if they have to fill in as starters theyve gotten reps to do so. But when 2nd and 3rd strign are immediately thrust into starting roles, not only does it compromise protectikn, withkht a reliable pocket, it throws the rhythm of the QB off... makes it so he doesnt believe hes always protected and limits the playcalling. Dim to think Oline hasnt been a priority when theyve spent 1st round picks on it... and filarious to believe that the positin players are enough if u have no protection... or think its about conservative playcalling. Just idiotic tbh

So if Geno was a super star he would have won a lot more games with the weapons this team has on offense !! The fans get pissed every week watching Pete run the hawks lower and lower in the deeps of the NFL.. !0 guys running the 100 yard dash Pete comes in last every year and he thinks he is still fast. What are you guys talking about??? Geno sucks, I watched him throw many interceptions etc... The 3rd string #4 does better than Geno. Geno is unpredictable, one game he played good and the next he was throwing interceptions and getting sacked constantly. Plus if you pay attention to lately they can get all the way down the feild but then kick a feild goal around the 10-20 yard line? Why cant they get the other 10-20 yards??? That does not make any sense to me. This happens almost every time. Geno needs fired and replaced.

This isn’t even a debate. Pete needs to be the coach.
With a healthy line Geno is top 5 to 7 QB.
If Abe Lucas wasn’t built like a dry leaf the Seahawks would have won 3 more games right there because they were that close. If Uchenna doesn’t get hurt there’s another few more. People need to relax.
Keep Geno, draft O line and D line, and we will be right there for contention.
Dump Clint ButtHurts. “Pete HiReD HiMm doiii” but Pete didn’t hire Dan Quinn? Hmm lol k…. Reality is Pete isn’t the DC. I know some of you are hyperventilating… take a deep breath… inn… outt….
Then people will realize Pete Carroll was part of the glue holding us together and one of the only reasons we had winning seasons post LOB with a replaceable SYSTEM QB who got way to much credit…. His downfall would have happened MUCH SOONER without Pete.
