Well, technically, each Link and Zelda are a different Link and Zelda and their relationships vary between what ones you are talking about.
Like Twilight Princess, Zelda couldn't care less about Link, and has more of a relationship with Midna, almost dieing twice to save her.
Or Skyward Sword, Zelda likes Link but Link seems to be too oblivious to reciprocate and only realizes he like her when Impa "kidnaps" her.
Or the little story Zelda II has, it implies Link and Zelda have some kind of relationship.
Or Link to the Past, which Zelda exists as someone who needs to be saved and not much else.

It’s not fun, but it is interesting how well it would explain tons of gaps in my experience that ADHD doesn’t and that trauma seems insufficient to explain as well. That’s why self-diagnosis is a thing at all, because it’s hard to get the arrangements to be professionally diagnosed, but many things that benefit autistic people still will help others with similar traits, even when it’s not possible, dismissed, or perhaps unsafe to be professionally diagnosed
