See original footage of Roller fans outside the BBC Studios in Wood Lane, London.
I've only just heard about Les - and Ian, and Alan - all in one day :-( My heart aches. Once a Roller fan, always a Roller fan. And yes, I still listen to the music.
I so enjoyed their music as a kid and still do as a 55 year old young woman. lol. Eric is still gorgeous too
RIP Les.... Thanks to you and The Rollers; a young songwriter's dream came true: "You Made Me Believe In Magic": God Bless!!
I always love them when I was young and still listen to them I enjoy Les McKeown he was my favorite guy in the world and the others was great too rip Les McKeown; Alan Longmuir and Ian Mitchell rip our 😇😇😇 angels
'I have no idea where the money is' said Tam Paton as he sat in his 4 million mansion

What happened to eric
@@maureenhaar9713 he is still making music. He had a viral infection in 2015 and almost died. He takes medicine for absence seizures. Nobody knows where exactly he lives because he is very private. He wrote a book also. He is not on social media at all.

Brilliant harpo
Omg......ALAN
Such a pity that these poor lads were fleeced by their greedy manager.
Bet they are still owed millions.☹☹
Yeah so sad. Most like the record label company is waiting for them to die so they won't have to pay back the millions with interest. Also sad is the BCR either had one or no children to inherit. Alan one child,Les one child, of the longest BCR members. Pat who was in for less than one year, one child. Eric-0, woody?,Ian-0, Derek-0 That's soooooo😣😣😣sad. Bet they aren't grandparents either.
dishybear I believed things were finally settled...they talked about it on an interview.
@@cynthiaennis3107 i think they finally settled but for not nearly enough.
They only got £90,000 each nowhere near what they had earned. They were just young, naive and were cheated by everyone from Tam Paton 🤢 to their record company 😡
I suspect Eric commenting on the fact that he did ok financially is because he and Woody wrote alot of their songs and would have made significantly more in royalties than Les and the rest of the guys.
Of course they all would've made more but alot of their money mysteriously disappeared and their manager of course had no idea where it went. A pity really.
I know people think they were cheezy 70's pop teen idols, but they were nice guys & great fun! They also had catchy tunes & real talent.
Egyik szebb,mint a másik!👍
Every time I used to look at fergie she reminded me of Eric faulkner lol😁😅
Thought it was a Beatle
Paul McCartney
Spooky
Im guessing this is from the early 1980s?
1983
You could tell from this short clip they really didnt like one another much lol
Really????
@@allisonbergeron1929 really
@@thefreshprinceofdapto1668 I think they are ok now. I watched another interview with les and he said they were friends again. No animosity etc. So hopefully....
@@allisonbergeron1929 Hi Allison, They appear to be on good terms now but it could n't of been easy on the road constantly and it seemed to the public in 75 a fantasy world. Momentous memories of a time n Fab to be young and luvly memories of my parents too. Would love to turn time back to late 60s n early 70s. T.Rex .The Sweet n Slade n Wizard too. Kind regards Glynn n greetings from Stourbridge West Midlands UK 🕊🕊🕊
Dollarmani Yeah!
Rollarmania I Love 💕 The Bay City Rollers!
Thirty years later and it still doesn't sound too horrible. It's a real pity that the guys turned into "pop stars" when all they really wanted to do was play music that we could all enjoy. I'll bet they still got all the birds though.Poor Les got fat didn't he?
+Kevin Russell The Bay City Rollers have just finished playing in Japan the 2nd Leg of their world SELL OUT TOUR 2016.
The First part of the tour In Scotland and England SOLD OUT in 3 minutes!!!
A big part of that is the band is a very good musically now and the fans have responded to create Rollermania again.
In Japan the Bay City Rollers have gained a new army of young fans for some strange reason!
Obviously the shadow of SONY?ARISTA Royalities from the 70's still hang over the BCR but looks like Les,Alan and Stuart are just focussing on the positives and letting their
management and legal team focus on the world tour/potential BCR movie and owed royalites.
So the positive momentum is creating the SOLD out Tour so far.
BCR are appearing on The broons show tonight. The have had many appearances on BBC recently and their are finally back on track Les,Alan and Stuart.
paul nodalo thanks Paul. I sincerely appreciate the update. Well done Sir
Kevin Russell i heard they got screwed up in the tune of 20 to 50 million dollors
@@paulnodalo9130
Sadly Alan passed away, Derek doesn't tour, he is a Nurse now, Eric has his own new solo songs he has released,
Woody had a Celtic Music Album, so it's usually just Les, and other guys, who were not ever Rollers.
Billy Lyall and Dave Paton of the group "Pilot", but were in the band when it was just Derek and Alan Longmuir.
They were eventually replaced by Woody and Eric. I'm not going to go see a "cover" band, with only ONE Bay City Roller,
especially one who was spying on the other Rollers, and who was caught doing so,
and THAT is why Les and Pat were FIRED.
@@oldyellerschannel4676 What happened that Les & Pat were fired? Please elaborate.
I don't know for sure, but my perception is that Eric never really enjoyed any of it. I think he just simply wanted to be a good musician.
@@RosePetal17
Ummm...Les was FIRED.
@mrc121002
Eric is as gorgeous as always. People get older. What are YOU going to do, get a ton of plastic surgery?
I think Eric had fun! Check out some of their videos etc. He looked like he was enjoying it!!
I think they all had fun in thebeginning. Plus I'm sure they had no idea about their manager at least at first. They did end up firing him. I'm guessing they got burnt out after a few years. But all the things I've seen it looks like they were having fun. They were not given much credit. Its sad.
@mrc121002 how could their manager say they had no talent?? Awful! And they did play their own instruments on albums
Those guys lived the dream for a short while the girls loved them and the guy envied them ...lol
nah, us guys at the time hardly knew they existed , too busy listening to music.
@@scampbell8136 oh shut up, you was just jealous the girls was not knocking at your door unless you was into the guys that is lol
