Wishing you all the best with your recovery Paul.
Thank you.... đ
Paul, I fell in love with bicycles as a college freshman in 1987, moved to Alaska in 89' and got a job in a shop, we sold Kona bikes. I was totally infatuated with bikes, the shop, and racing, there was little time for anything else. I quickly realized the were way cooler bikes like Ritchey, Bontrager, and of course Brodie! your channel has brought back so many great memories from those days! THANK YOU! I've loved bikes and motorcycles forever, seems like your channel is a "Good Fit" for me. thanx again for all you do, I wish you good health and blessings. -d
Thanks Don. Yes, it seems we have similar interests. There is a lot of cool stuff out there...
Paul starting his Breaking Bad era of building..... Everything he makes should be painted blue. LoL Good to see you back in the shop.... Thank you Paul and Mitch, I've been missing these videos. đâ€ïž
Thank you.
Best wishes to you Paul, good to see your work again.
Thanks Paul...
Good the see you.
A few days late but, YEAAAAAAHHH Paul and Mich are back, Let's goooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!
Not sure what you mean by a few days late...

Gerard, from Spain
Gerard, thank you. Appreciate your comments. Greetings to Spain!
You're completely ruined the paint! đ€Ł I'm kidding of course. Thank you for your contribution Paul. Great to see you back in the swing of things.
Not the first time I have ruined paint...
Fantastic to see you, Paul. Glad to see you looking well.
Thanks Marty. Slowly getting my strength back, and waiting for my hair to grow...
Wonderful to see another video Paul. We've never met, but I've been a fan since the 90's & you made my day today as watched this video on my lunch break. Take care of your self. Thanks to Mitch as well, can't forget about you.
Thanks very much. Appreciate your comments...
Mystery Mitch appears! Great to see the duo reunited.
Yes, a Cameo by Mitch :)
Thank you for letting us watch you and learn, love it. Cheers đđ
Thank you Andrew. Appreciate it...
Paul looks like some kind of Bond villain/mad scientist with the shaved head and welding goggles. I like it. : )
Always trying to look cool...
Paul, Iâve learned so much from you, thank you so much for sharing your experience and the wonderfully rational and thoughtful approach you bring to fabrication. Wish this had all been available to me when I started fiddling with bikes in 1964âŠ
Cheers, Will (in Scotland)
Thanks Will. Yes, the Internet really has changed the world a Lot. Before, it often meant buying books, and I sure do have a good collection of motorcycle books. Scotland... I'm told there is a Brodie Castle in Scotland. Apparently, it has not been kept up and is quite rundown...
Always a great day when Paul and Mitch pop over with a new video!!! You guys are always most welcome...:-)
Thanks Jeff!
That last second of the vid, where the torch really lit up reminded me of the old joke, "you know what really burns my ass? ... a flame about this high."
Yes, so true...
@@paulbrodie keep strong, Paul! You're inspiring on many levels.
I remember assembly on a lot of mountain bikes that came with U-Brakes in 1988. I didn't like them but I know they had more stopping power than the Canti's. I'm surprised the owner didn't want Disc Mount's installed. But then again, it's period correct with U-Brakes. Your looking good Paul! I always enjoy watching a Master!
Thank you Alias :)
Great to See you back in the shop Paul .......
Thank you Claudia :)
Paul, it's great to see you back today! Coincidentally I am wearing my "milling time " hoodie my son bought me for Christmas so I stood next to the TV and my wife took a photo of both of us to send to him. Keep up the great work Paul - wishing you all the best.
Thank you. Photos are great!
Welcome back Sirs! You look good as a smoothy Paul. And Mitch, handsome as usual.

Great to see you back in the shop, weâve missed you

Love the jigs and fixtures. They are the type of things people will find in the future and think what the f*** was that used for . Great vid.
Thanks. Sometimes I find an old fixture in my shop, and can't remember what it was used for...
Great to see you back in the shop Paul! Cheers!
Hi Mike! It is good to be back in the shop :)

Thanks Julian....
Could watch you for hours, Paul. Oh. Wait. I have! (Great to see you back and love thenew look, from another who gave up on hair!) Time to go for a ride. I am not a frame builder but have (re)built two touring bikes from the ground up. Peace!
My new look wasn't planned. Chemo will do that, and then it will grow back. I'm waiting!
great to see you back Paul, i have really missed the show
Thanks Terry :)
Paul, so GREAT to see you again. The force told me you were back at it yesterday âŠâŠ suddenly I wondered how you were doing? Thanks for taking us along as you exercise in the shop. And thanks Mitch recording and editing this so we can all be immensely inspired by the master. đđđđđ
Hi Paul, great to see you back and so good to see you rescuing the old frame and making it roadworthy again.
Thanks Marcel. It is good to rescue a frame. Makes me feel good....
Great video Paul, I learned more about silver soldering today. Thank you Sir
Thanks Tom. Glad you enjoyed it....
Hello Paul and Mitch good to see you back on CZcams. Interesting repair of this frame. I agree that doing what you love is the best medicine. Just don't over do it as you regain your strength. And think of how much you are saving in haircuts!đ
Thank you Millar. Don't worry, my body is very good at letting me know when it has had enough and needs a rest!
Hey Paul, thanks for posting!! Your MTB builds are AWESOME
Thanks Elliot!
Great to see you back in your shop enjoying yourself Paul. Fascinating viewing as usual⊠youâve been missed!
Many thanks!
Good to see you back Paul, hope you're doing ok.
Yes, I am ok. Maybe even a bit better than that...
Always a pleasure tuning in to your channel Paul.
I hope you are doing okay.
M.
I am!
Hey Paul, and Mitch, so good to see you two back at it! Nice to actually see Mitch, too! Paul, your new look is really something! Your frame repair brazing project was really impressive - you have NOT lost your magic touch!
Nice to see you back Paul, itâs nice to see you smile when you use one of your old tools or fixtures.
Thanks Murray!
Great to see you back doing great work!
Thanks Peter...
Great to see you Mr.B - and Mitch too! Great video as always.
Thank you very mucho!
Good seeing you back Paul.
Thanks Robert!
at 3:20 is that actually the Mighty Mitch , or his stunt body double ,,,, what a day , Im going to do the lottery this week as all the stars are in alignment.
Yes, I don't really know what to say either...
Very good and I am very happy to see the video and to see you Paul! I am working on repurposing old frames that were thrown out as scrap and my goal is to modify the frames from road to gravel with upgraded drop outs, cantilever brakes and I will install a tube chain stay bridge, changing from a flat kickstand mount chain stay bridge. Thanks for sharing your incredible talent and skills âđ
Martin, sounds like you have a great hobby. Thanks for watching and commenting :)
@@paulbrodie thanks. Can I ask your advice, if you have time to answer. I mentioned before that I don't have access to good equipment, but if I make the chain stay bridge from old bike tubing, do you think it's ok to miter the bridge using files and elbow grease? Your alignment technique is brilliant and I am sure it works well with the machine mitering, but it might be difficult to achieve good alignment mitering with files. TIA if you can give your opinion, I will likely do a trial and error test on it either way. Two wheels sportive greetings and good wishes to you âđ
@@martinslennon Yes, you can make a bridge tube using a hacksaw and a file. Nothing wrong with that. You have to be careful, and it is not easy. Good luck!
Paul, glad youâre back in the shop, Iâve missed your videos. You might already know about this but when Iâm centring tubes using the DRO I use the 1/2 function - do exactly what you did with the feeler gauges (or edge finder), zeroing on the first side then just press the 1/2 button and it will give you a zero on the centreline, no maths required!
Others have suggested the 1/2 function. It doesn't work on my DRO...
@@paulbrodie ah, I thought youâd know about it! Itâs a shame itâs not working as itâs a really useful function
So glad to see yuo again Paul
Thank you!
Really great to see you Paul :-)
Thanks Paul...
Great to see you posting again ,,, the Jean Luc Picard look suits you well , now we know the ships in safe hands . The frame holder jig thing is a total work of art , it certainly seems to make life a lot easier otherwise frame building must be like octopus wrestling.
Thanks Tom. I didn't really have a choice about my look. My hair was all falling out from Chemo...
@@paulbrodie I know that but I'm looking at it with a positive spin... my thoughts and prayers are with you .. much as I mess about in a previous life I was actually a diagnostic radiographer .
Why do I love watching your videos so much? Because you remind me of my dad! He was self taught, self reliant and he could make or fix anything with ease. Your running narrative is so soothing to listen to, and it's fun to watch you work your magic so effortlessly. I really look forward to your videos, thanks Paul!
Thanks David. Very kind words. New video coming soon!
Iâm so glad to see you again!
Thank you...
Glad you're back and thank you for another great tutorial on your skill and craft! Go Paul and crew, keep moving forward!
Yes, forward.... I hate going backwards :)
Good to see you Paul. All the best. Thanks for spending time with us.
Thanks Tony. It works both ways :)
A true craftsman and artist. Thank you Mr. Brodie, also- thank you Mitch for the camera work.
Thanks very much :)
I saw Mitchs feet (shoes) lol , that little puff of a flame pushes that solder around nicely .
Yes, I can still get it to flow after all these years!
It's been a while since your last video BUT....
You are Fighting!!! Is good to see you again Paul!!!! đȘđȘđȘđȘđȘ
Thanks Diego :)
Paul! It's so good to see you back! I hope you feel well and we can proceed the youtube journey together as there are so many projects ahead of us!
I almost forgot - Mitch in action. It's good to see you too Mitch :)

Thanks Doug :)
Nice to see you gentleman again!
Thank you Eugene. It's good to be back!
A perfect video at the a perfect time. We were missing you. I know I was. These repair video's are great because we get to see some of the stuff that made you famous and seeing this brought back to working condition again makes us all happy. Keep up the great work!
I'm happy the video fitted well into your life. Thanks for watching :)
Good to see you back Paul, always a pleasure to watch you. Stay strong and know you make many people happy. đđ»
Thanks Mitch.
Welcome back Paul! Great to see you again!
Thank you, sir, for enduring.
OK, and Thank You!
GOOD to see you back & you really rock the no hair look!!!! Suits you sir!!!
Thank you kindly. I didn't have a choice with the hair. It all fell out...
@@paulbrodie Yeah I know and I'm sorry for what you're going through on that front, but it still suits you :)
@@Farlig69 Thanks. I am fine with my new look....
Thank You for sharing Paul Brodie
No worries. Thanks for watching :)
Glad you feel well enough to bring us along for a quick repair. I dig the Mr clean look, you were getting a little shaggy there, lol, thanks again.
That was not a quick repair. We filmed for 6 hours, and then I did a couple of hours off camera. I had no choice about my "new look". That's what Chemo will do to you.
The way the filler rod just flows around, making a neat curve with no excess, is magical. The only time I've got such flow was when my TIG weld got overheated and drooped on the floor (not that this has happened only once XD).
As always, it is great to see you two back. Thank you very much for these Bob Ross'esque performances =)
Thanks Oleg. It is satisfying when the filler rod flows well :) that's for sure!
Even an 'easy job' is still a joy from you boys. Great images and you're so great at explaining what's going on Paul. đ
Great to see you Paul! Mitch youâre usually more of a presence felt and not seen, your mask has slipped!
Your new look saves a good 90 seconds in the shower, no hair more face to wash.
This is a real treat. Thank you.
Thank you kindly :)
Hi Paul
Nice to see you againâŠget well soon
Hey, thanks
