    I like my espresso to equal 1 gram per second so 36 seconds will be 36 grams. Just personal preference it’s smoother taste for me also I add local honey and vanilla extract to my espresso

    Easier just to put 18g of coffee in the hopper rather than having to go back and grind more 4 times.

      Thanks for commenting.
      Whilst it feels wasteful I totally get your point.
      I used to think the same, until I learned that the problem with this - is that it causes 'popcorning' where coffee beans fracture and cause an un-even particle size to be ground, which then affects coffee grind distribution and extraction, which in turn negatively effects flavour.
