- Here is how a finely tuned big shelled Ludwig kit sounds with Paiste cymbals in a large room with quality mics and a good digital recording setup. Enjoy and I apologize for taking so long to upload something new but better late than never!!!

With all due respect the guy is great but one thing to point out he has the best remo imperial coated heads on all of his drums so you know he is a pro.
Most people just have the pinstripe heads except on the snare.
@@frankburdodrums8984 I never cared much for pinstripes. I liked either clear ambassadors or clear controlled sound heads on the toms.

Some 37 years after Bonzo passed, and it's the one kit that just about every drummer wants. Probably the most often cited drummer in rock history as an influence.

It only took me 53 years, but I finally got my 15" 2002 Sound edge Hi Hats, and they are everything I had dreamed and more, I'm absolutely loving them!!!, and you're the reason I never let that dream die. Thanks for all your efforts, in putting out such quality sounding videos, you really capture the true sound of those quality instruments. Love watching you play with such feel.

Nothing against Zildjian or Sabian. But Paiste to me seems to have a higher quality sound than Zildjian and Sabian. Yet Zildjian and Sabian seems to get more attention than Paiste.

Lamborghini Diablo SV 5150 John was a great drummer and brought a lot to the table..but he has been well surpassed ... even when he was In his prime.. if you took his tuning away and put it on another kit it would not be anything to turn heads.. technique has well advanced..

Cool playing.....probably influenced by the 60's big rock drummers. Good looking set. I have an mid 60's oyster shell that I want to get recovered. I like the old skool retro look for rockabilly music!

Yes, Bonham......who was a big triplet guy. But he grew up on Bebop and
I used to see a lot of rockabilly and blues players who had this style. Paladins, Billy Bacon & The Forbidden Pigs, Russell Scott, Big Sandy, Brian Setzer Orchestra, Lee Rocker Band. These guys all have some mad jazz skills and cool shuffles.
This is correct. In fact I started playing jazz when I was young....I was swinging before getting into rock.

great playing and feel. reminds me a lot of the big man in heaven *Bonzo. I use a combination of the 2002 and signature lines and you just cant mistake the feel of the sound edge hi hats. Again great playing!

Fantastic! Great having a new video from you Dan. I still watch your older ones over and over trying to learn. I just got my dream kit, a Ludwig Green Sparkle Classic Maple Vintage style Bonham kit along with the proper 2002's. Loving the hell out of it. I bought your tuning videos which have really helped in dialing in the sound so I thank you also for those. Getting used to the kick is tough and it would be great if you would do another lesson on the foot technique as a follow-on to your original gem. What would be great is for you to share your thoughts on how best to develop it specifically with the closed head 26". Thanks again fir sharing your incredible talent. -scott
