This movie was just so out of left field for me. I mean, I've watched "gangsters" type movie. I've watched movies where children act in an adult manner, but I don't think I've ever watched something that had children actually involved in such violent acts.
The video kept getting blocked to a large percent of my CZcams channel's audience, so I had to re-edit and upload this video a few times.
I'm trying to figure out a way to edit the videos so that they don't get blocked, but are engaging enough for the people who watch them.
Please let me know what you think about the style I used to edit this video. Was it too distracting? Were you able to follow along with the scenes of the movie? I'd really appreciate the feedback!

Yeap... in Brazil "Motels" ARE NOT "motor hotels" ìn american fashion, nor a family place at all.
Those are not brothels, in the sense that you bring the company. And they're pretty common and ease to go, if you do it properly (without criminal intentions, I mean). No one would shame you or your company to go there.
Faction wars in Brazil are really common, young people in the favelas get lead into a bad life, most of the people in the favelas have separated parents.
I don't have anything to do with your business man, but it's really sad to see that in the main parts of the movie you were either looking the other way or saying something. I know you need to react and make some comments in the middle of the scenes, but a very simple solution is to pause and say whatever you have to say and then continue. You're doing a good job, I just hope that with this comment it can help you make things better.

Idk if you noticed but there's religious meaning to the collar Lil Z wears (the one the shaman says he cant lay with women) and as soon as he r#pes Knockout Neds girl his kingdom starts to fall. I LOVE this movie, it has a lot of details that can go missing in translation but you got almost all of them ❤ good soup (good content bro!) im here for more brazilian movies hehe
I love how this movie depicts a society *so* violent, it is literally a confusing experience.
Humanity is all of it - humanity is stability, but humanity can also be non stop violence - it comes down to who you are, sure - but man - if your *home* is a meadow of water and food, your life will absolutely be different than if your world is just rocks and broken glass; "nurture vs nature" is always a source of big talk, but you *cannot* avoid either:
if you are born with some psycho violence gene, you're kinda screwed, you'll be a serial killer or something
but likewise, if you're born and live in a world of nails and rocks and broken glass - good luck coping! Whole societies will adjust to living like that!

I would recommend, maybe on your own time - as a *major* palate cleanser, "City of Men" miniseries, by the same directors, many of the same actors, but it focuses on the hopeful side of the favela, it is more whimsical, humorous, and episodic in nature.
Yea crazy how it's so intense that even though it's just a film, it still stretches your perspective. I couldn't imagine actually BEING in that environment. It's so far removed from my current consciousness.

@@theotothefuture the main point is that motels charge over the hour (some make a special whole-night pack price), and hotel charges over a full-day. you can sleep on a motel but people usually go there to fck. but is not a good idea since the ones that will give you the same confort of a regular hotel will get more pricey than one if you stay for long
